Set in an elevated position above the River Esk, this attractive Whitby cottage has a bright and airy sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, with lovely views over open countryside and the viaduct. Upstairs in this Whitby cottage, there are three charming bedrooms, one with a balcony providing an ideal place to relax and spot the steam trains going by, or watch the wildlife on the river! Outside, well-kept, communal lawned grounds surround this Whitby cottage, whilst French doors from the kitchen open onto a private, decked patio. Tastefully furnished to a high standard, this Whitby cottage offers very comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting, yet is only a short walk into Whitby, with its long sandy beaches, narrow cobbled streets and excellent restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. Climb the 199 steps up to the historic abbey, meander down to the pretty harbour or take a trip on the steam railway. It was very clean, uncluttered, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovey views of the viaduct and steam trains passing by. The owner was friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again when visiting Whitby.
