Guests have praised the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring Bushmills and the Causeway Coast. The property is well-equipped, with a sociable open plan and comfortable beds. The host and caretaker are commended for their helpfulness. Minor issues with Wi-Fi reach and maintenance are noted, but overall experiences are very positive.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'spotlessly clean' and 'very well presented'. One review mentioned a smell and mould in the bathroom, but this seems to be an isolated complaint.
The location is highly praised for being within walking distance to Bushmills town and a short drive to beaches and local attractions. Its proximity to the Causeway Coast is a highlight, although one review mentioned the busy road.
Comfort is frequently noted, with mentions of a cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and ample space. However, there are minor complaints about mattress quality and shower functionality, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good amenities. However, there are several mentions of Wi-Fi issues, particularly upstairs, and some maintenance concerns like the toilet roll holder and showers, which affect the score.
While the host and caretaker are noted for their helpfulness and friendliness, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Bushmills, Northern Ireland, is a small town on the coast of County Antrim. It's 11 miles from Ballycastle and about 60 miles from Belfast. The river and a massive watermill constructed there in the early 17th century gave the settlement its name. The Old Bushmills Distillery, which makes a wide range of whiskies, has brought fame to the town of Bushmills. Bushmills is home to a variety of shops and restaurants, including cafes, bars, and fine dining establishments. The village is situated on the designated Causeway Coastal Route and at the river Bush's crossing point. Ballycastle is a great place to visit because it has a golf course, a beach with a Blue Flag, and a wide variety of unique shops and restaurants. No matter what you end up doing in Bushmills, you'll get to experience some of the best that Northern Ireland has to offer.

Ireland. Property met or exceeded our expectations in just about every way. As did Bushmills as a thriving small town. Thanks for the welcome - both pre and on arrival.

I slept in the single bed. I would say that the mattress needs to be replaced. If you sit on the edge of the bed that part of the mattress collapses (with an accompanying squeaking noise). The mattress has hard/lumpy sections that arenât very comfortable. Some more bigger mugs would be good. Other than that, everything was fine. Nicky was very helpful.
