Tucked away in the countryside not far from the quaint village of Lintrathen, a stone's throw away from the charming town of Kirriemuir, rests the detached cottage of Sportsman Lodge. The traditional, stone-built cottage is set on one level and sleeps up to four guests, backing onto the magnificent Angus Glens; an idyllic scenery for both friends and family. At the front of the cottage, two desirable off-road parking spaces greet you on arrival, before venturing inside the property to discover a compact hallway; ideal for storing walking shoes after an adventurous day in the Angus Glens. Gather in the open-plan living space with the whole family, as you unwind in front of the TV in the heart of the house. Rustle up a meal in the modern kitchen, providing all the essential appliances, and dish your meal in the nearby dining area, without having to worry about missing out on any socializing! The property offers one double bedroom with ample storage space to house your belongings and a delightful twin bedroom; perfect for children. As the birthplace of JM Barrie, the author of Peter Pan, the nearby town of Kirriemuir is rich in history, boasting a museum set in the novelists former home and a Camera Obscura gifted to the people of Kirriemuir by J M Barrie from which you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Kirriemuir is known as the 'Gateway to the Glens' and makes an excellent base for exploring Angus. RSPB reserve Loch of Kinnordy is home to many wetland birds, viewable from hides and boardwalks. 5 miles from Kirriemuir is Glamis Castle, childhood home of the late Queen Mother, the castle is open to the public. Just a little further afield is the town of Forfar, home to the beautifully-maintained landscape of Forfar Botanists Garden, and housing fascinating exhibitions of local heritage at Forfar Meffan Museum.     Wow is a word that comes to mind set in a beautiful picturesque part of Scotland all the amenities you need didn’t get chance to use the hot tub as was so busy seeing around areas lovely welcome pack of bubbly crisps and biscuits left, great amount of loo rolls too all you could need for a lovely stay Many thanks

    The cottage is clean, fresh and modern inside. Hot tub was well used and enclosed garden was safe and secure for the dogs. Donna our host was lovely and lots to do and see in the local area and beyond.
