Cherry Trees Cottage is frequently praised for its comfort, stunning views, and well-equipped nature, offering a homely and relaxing atmosphere. The garden and surrounding wildlife add to the charm, although some guests noted maintenance and cleanliness issues.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, but there were notable exceptions where guests reported cleanliness issues, including dust and the presence of mice. The majority of feedback, however, leans towards a positive experience.
The location is highly regarded for its beautiful views and peaceful surroundings, with proximity to Loch Fyne and local wildlife. Some concerns were raised about the busy nearby road and the garden's security for pets.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere. However, some accessibility issues for the elderly and those with mobility issues were noted, slightly affecting the score.
The property is well-equipped with games, DVDs, and kitchen utensils, but some guests reported maintenance issues such as overgrown bushes, broken appliances, and safety concerns with electrical sockets.
While guests appreciated welcome packs and personal touches, there were mixed feelings about the quality and relevance of these items, and not all reviews mentioned them. As such, it's not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness without potentially misrepresenting the overall sentiment.

The Duke of Argyll founded Inveraray, the traditional county seat of Argyll, in 1745. It is situated next to the magnificently restored Inveraray Castle on Lake Fyne. The village was planned to house employees of the castle estate, a woollen mill, as well as fisherman working in the lucrative herring trade. Many of the properties in existence today have significant architectural value and are protected. The town now has a variety of stores, eateries, and cafes in addition to the castle and many other tourist attractions. The notorious Courthouse and Prison, a lightship turned floating museum. Attend the Highland Games or visit the magnificent National Trust Crarae Gardens. The hills surrounding Inveraray and the Cruachan Power Station, which is housed inside a mountain, offer excellent opportunities for hiking, biking, and fishing. Both Oban and Kilmartin, which has Neolithic stones, are pleasant drives. There are several attractions, all of which are surrounded by breathtaking surroundings.

The only downside for us was there was no mention of the steep steps into the property both back, front and into the main bedroom and conservatory which were totally inaccessible. However that aside we still so enjoyed our stay and the bed was the most comfortable ever!!

We found the property spotless when we arrived . A very good location lots to see and do within an hours drive. There were a few very minor maintenance issues but nothing that effected our holiday ,I have emailed the owner about these . We saw a red squirrel in the garden a few times ,which was great . Our 2 dogs loved the property ,the garden is lovely but as written in a previous review is not dog secure so dogs were kept on leads which was not an issue . We would definitely recommend Cherry trees for a fantastic Scottish holiday . We were blessed with great weather only rained once in 2 weeks ,which I think is rare for Argyll.

Gorgeous area too, so much wildlife. In the garden alone I saw a red squirrel, an otter, a mouse and lots of Robins and other birds. Perfect.
