You can tour the Oban Distillery or go a bit further afield and hop over to Mull on the ferry to visit the Tobermory Distillery. Outside is also simply breathtaking. Fling open the French doors to the small, private terraced garden and follow the steps down to the communal garden, shielded by a castellated sea wall. It's simply magnificent and a fine chance in to drink in the sheer raw beauty of Scotland.
