Dalbeattie, a charming rural community, is located in Scotland's southwest. The granite quarry that once made Dalbeattie famous exported stone all over the world, most notably for the Thames Embankment and Eddystone Lighthouse. Today, it is well known for its outdoor activities, including the nearby 7stanes mountain biking complex and Glentrool's forest walks, where you can retrace Richard Hannay's steps from The Thirty Nine Steps. Very comfortable, clean and cosy. Well situated for exploring the area. If you want peace and tranquility, amazing views and wonderful walks and wildlife, this is the place.

However although the place looked superficially well cleaned , there was thick dust on headboards, bedside tables and coffee tables Also I would have expected basics such as kitchen bin liners and dishcloths to be provided in a short stay property
