Golden Eagle Lodge receives high praise for its stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped lodge, its cosy wood burner, and the beautiful surrounding woodland. The outdoor activities and wildlife add to the charm. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for additional amenities are noted, but overall, guests are eager to return and recommend the property.
The lodge is consistently described as clean and beautifully presented. One mention of dog hair on the sofa suggests a slight deduction for those with allergies, but overall, the cleanliness is highly rated.
The location is universally praised for its beauty and proximity to nature and outdoor activities. It is described as stunning, perfect, and idyllic, contributing to the relaxing getaway experience.
Comfort is well-regarded with spacious rooms and cosy living areas. Some guests found the furniture and beds less comfortable, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are generally first-class, with a few maintenance issues such as the washing machine and bike/dog wash area needing attention. The kitchen appliances received some criticism, affecting the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the standard amenities provided, so it is not possible to score this category.

Great for peace and quiet but close enough to some fantastic walks and activities.

The lodge was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Being in a remote woodland setting, we also got to experience spotting wildlife, including a Pine Marten, Hare and Badger which was a bonus! Our only criticism would be that we didn't bring any pets but it was clear from dog hair on the sofa that pets had previously stayed in the lodge and the sofa wasn't hoovered properly. Although not a big issue for us it could be for other guests, especially if they have allergies.
