Kelso is a lovely town resting on the Scottish Borders, beside the confluence of the River Tweed and Teviot. The town has a selection of pubs, eateries, convenience stores and independent shops for guests to enjoy at their leisure, as well as a local golf course, racecourse and the remains of Roxburgh Castle. Learn more about the local history and heritage at Norham Castle, Hume Castle and Coldstream Museum, or head over to Dryburgh where there are riverside walks through the Temple of the Muses and the intriguing remains of Dryburgh Abbey. For a day at the seaside head over to Tweedmouth and Spittle, where there is a local beach, or take a day to explore the amazing scenery and wonderful wildlife of Northumberland National Park. At the confluence of the Tweed and Teviot rivers, Kelso is a charming Borders town with a cobbled town square, cobbled streets, a variety of magnificent Georgian houses, and a wealth of beautiful landscape all around it. Spend some time exploring Floors Castle, a well-known stately home with dining areas and gardens that was created by William Adam. Mellerstain House, Kelso Abbey, and the Kelso races are all nearby as well. The best of Georgian architecture may be seen in Mellerstain House. It is the home of the 13th Earl of Haddington and was created in 1725 by the architect William Adam and his son Robert Adam.

A little noise from the pub opposite but to be expected. My only issue was the very hard double bed. Also the address had no.16 but the door had no.4 on!! So a little confusing
