Located at the heart of Wark, a rural, Northumberland village, is The Grey Bull Apartment, a well-positioned, first-floor apartment. Just paces away from a hub of amenities and located above the Grey Bull Inn, the apartment is also within proximity to the Northumberland National Park, making it a great base for a countryside escape; three guests are welcomed to Grey Bull Apartment. Park up on the roadside and ascend the stairs up to your new abode. Start your break in the spacious living/dining room, complete with plush seating, a rustling open fire, a dining table, and hardwood flooring; use this space to unwind and socialise after a busy day of sightseeing. Continue into the compact yet well-equipped kitchen, where you can prepare delicious meals, and keep on top of your laundry with a washing machine in tow. For some fresh air enjoy a stroll through the village, before catching some rest from one of two well-appointed bedrooms, including a super-king-size with TV, and a small double. The apartment is complete with a sleek shower room, where you can prepare for your coming days. Once you're ready to explore, head to the local shop to stock up on the essentials, before enjoying a tipple at the Grey Bull Inn, followed by a bite to eat at the Battlesteads Hotel & Restaurant. Nearby you'll locate Chipchase Castle to tour, the stunning landscape of Hareshaw Linn Waterfall or the Falconry Days centre, resting in 50-acres of nature-filled land within the national park. Travel down to Hexham, firstly stopping off at the Chesters Roman Fort and Museum, enveloping Hadrian's Wall, before enjoying an afternoon of history and architecture at the Hexham Old Gaol and Hexham Abbey; Hexham Golf Club is nearby for avid golfers to enjoy. Hexham, a market town with bustling streets, a decent selection of shops, and an intriguing abbey with paintings from the 15th century and a beautiful Saxon crypt, is ten miles away. Around a one-hour journey will bring you to the Gateshead Metro Centre, one of the biggest shopping malls in Europe, as well as the Border Country, Northumbrian shoreline, Kielder Forest with cycling and watersports, Beamish Open Air Museum, and Durham Cathedral.
