Auchentroig House offers grand and spacious accommodation across two floors for a group of family and friends wanting to enjoy a peaceful and tranquil break, while being within easy reach of the countryside and lochs of the nearby national park. The property is accessed up a long driveway, with ample parking in front of the house, surrounded by stunning countryside and with a communal lawn to enjoy. Enter the apartment into a stunning entrance hall with exposed wooden flooring, a woodburning stove with seating placed around it and even a grand piano that those who are musically inclined will enjoy playing. From this huge open-plan space, there is a spacious kitchen/diner with plenty of space to prepare and enjoy group meals, while the utility room houses a range of handy appliances, including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The living/dining room offers an alternate spot to enjoy meals together, as well as ample seating to relax onto, while enjoying the view of the surrounding grounds, with a quirky curved space in the corner, surrounded by windows, where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea or a spot of lunch whilst enjoying looking out onto the garden. Also on the ground floor is a convenient powder room with two toilet cubicles and two basins. Heading up the grand staircase to the first floor, you will find six generously-sized double bedrooms, most of which have their own feature fireplace, and all of which are bright and airy and have lots of storage space for your belongings and are spread out along two corridors that are accessed up three small steps. You’ll be spoilt for choice upstairs not only for sleeping arrangements, but with bathrooms – there is one shared by two of the six bedrooms, which has a stunning Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower cubicle, as well as a family bathroom with a shower over bath. On this floor, there is additional socialising space in the snug area with seating, where you can sit peacefully with a good book or enjoy watching TV with the rest of the group. Most of central Scotland can easily be accessed from the village with Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling and Glasgow all within easy reach.

It is just beautiful and we would love to return. We had quick contact from the owner where we had any queries. The house needs a really good clean, the sinks and window ledges had dead flies. The main bathroom needs repaired the rust in bath is just not pleasant for anyone to use and the hot tub needs a good clean. We could not use them. The beds are very uncomfortable and given the cost, should be upgraded. Hopefully these points can be taken on board as we would love to return. We did not let the above dampen our stay but they are important points to create a more comfortable stay.
