Heatherlea is highly praised for its beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped accommodation, offering a serene and comfortable stay. The property is dog-friendly, with a secure garden and stunning views, making it an excellent base for exploring the islands. Guests have enjoyed the tasteful furnishings and the property's cleanliness, although a few minor improvements in linen freshness and kitchen utensils have been suggested.
Guests generally find Heatherlea very clean, with one noting the property was 'spotlessly clean throughout'. However, there was a minor comment about bed linen and towels not feeling fresh, which suggests a slight deduction from a perfect score.
The location is consistently lauded for its excellent views and convenience for exploring North Uist and surrounding islands. Guests have not reported any issues with the location, indicating a high level of satisfaction.
The comfort of Heatherlea is well-regarded, with mentions of super-comfortable beds and linen, and a calm, airy atmosphere. A minor issue with a door not closing properly slightly impacts the score.
Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and tastefully furnished. However, guests suggested the addition of more chopping boards and a better cafetière, indicating room for improvement.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We had a wonderful time. The house is so lovely, very comfortable and really well equipped. It was such a pleasure staying there. Itâs a great, central location to explore the islands. The dogs loved the garden and our beds were so comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean throughout. Would definitely recommend Heatherlea. I can imagine in the summer it would be lovely to sit outside and enjoy the garden.

The property was perfect. Everything you could want in a holiday let - very clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished. Excellent setting and a lovely view from the front decking. Garden was very secure for our dog, no worries about letting her out to enjoy the garden. All in all an excellent home for a holiday. Thanks very much!

It is so beautifully appointed with lovely, calm decoration and features, and so well, generously equipped; we had all we needed and much more. The beds and linen are super-comfortable and the whole place is light, bright and airy. The location is excellent for getting to know North Uist and the other islands and the views are just wonderful. It is brilliant that it is dog-friendly too - thank you. We had excellent sightings of birds throughout our stay from the house, especially Short-Eared Owls hunting around the house and sitting on the fence posts in the garden - so very special. I can highly recommend Heatherlea for the best of holidays.
