Guests say

This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

Guests have consistently praised 'The Stables' for its stunning location, high-quality furnishings, and cleanliness. The property's setting allows for peaceful evenings and beautiful views, making it an ideal base for exploring Anglesey. The well-equipped facilities and thoughtful touches, such as games for children and a welcome pack, contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While there was a minor issue with construction noise and a cleaning oversight, these seem to be exceptions in an otherwise exemplary record of guest satisfaction.

Cleanliness

Reviews overwhelmingly indicate that 'The Stables' is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. One isolated incident of a dishwasher not being checked does not detract significantly from the overall impression of an immaculate property.

Location

The property's location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach, and the peacefulness it offers. It is also appreciated for being a convenient base for exploring local attractions.

Comfort

Guests describe the property as cosy, welcoming, and spacious, with comfortable furniture and a warm atmosphere enhanced by underfloor heating and a log burner. The high-quality bed linen and powerful showers also contribute to the comfort.

Facilities

The property is well-equipped with high-end kitchen appliances, plenty of parking, and socialising spaces. There was a mention of construction noise and a request for a hosepipe, suggesting room for minor improvements.

Thoughtfulness

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of a welcome pack, games for children, and other considerate touches. While gifts are mentioned and appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Enjoying a fabulous location just moments away from the beach, as well as being just a short drive away from the historic town of Beaumaris, The Stables is a wonderful dwelling with all a family or group of eight could need for a memorable self-catered stay. Impress your guests with tasty meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which features a handy dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and a wine fridge for keeping your favourite bottle chilled. Savour your meal at the dining table for eight, or if the weather is nice, why not fire up the barbecue out on the large patio, which features a pergola. Just off the kitchen, you will find a utility cupboard housing a washing machine, perfect for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh. There is also a cloakroom for your convenience. When sleep calls, choose from four well-appointed bedrooms, a queen-size enjoying a Smart TV and en-suite shower room, two doubles and a bunk. Head straight for the sand and shingle beach of Traeth Lleiniog, where you can beachcombe the shores or tuck-in to a homemade picnic whilst you soak up the far-reaching views out towards the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). From your holiday home, you can enjoy walks up to see the fascinating ruins of Castell Aberlleiniog or up to Penmon Point which offers exceptional views out towards Puffin Island. For your local amenities, head into the historic town of Beaumaris, where you can enjoy Indian cuisine at Sarisa Indian Kitchen, tapas a The Midland Tapas and Wine Bar or Italian at Tredici. Within the town, budding historians will have found their haven, with the attractions of the Victorian Beaumaris Gaol, the remarkable Beaumaris Castle and The Old Court House Museum waiting to be explored. If that’s not your thing, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Beaumaris Seafront and pier with an ice cream in hand or catch a boat out to Puffin Island for a memorable day trip. Continue onto Menai Bridge, where you will find the National Trust site of Caeau Glan-y-mor, Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Pili Palas Nature World and the Menai Heritage Museum. Cross over the renowned Menai Suspension Bridge into Bangor, home to the 1971 Eisteddfod Gorsedd Stones, a Roman Camp and the esteemed National Trust site of Penrhyn Castle & Garden. All this and more awaits at The Stables.

Historic Beaumaris, located on Anglesey's Isle of Anglesey near the Menai Strait and the Snowdonia mountain range, is well-known for its spectacular sunrises. In addition to its imposing mediaeval castle, which dates to the reign of Edward I, the city is also a popular yachting destination thanks to its Victorian pier, gaol, and courthouse. Beaumaris has a long and fascinating history, and much of the mediaeval street layout can still be found here. Many of the town's characteristics are derived from its location, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scales, open spaces, varying rooflines and overall quality.

The town offers a wide range of amenities, including a golf course nearby, as well as fishing and boating excursions. Red Wharf Bay, or Traeth Coch (Red Beach) in Welsh, is a large bay along the coast known for its spectacular sunsets. There are nearly 25 square kilometres (10 sq. miles) of sand uncovered at low tide, making it safe for bathing and ideal for family outings, fishing, and scenic walks. To get to Dublin, you can take a ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. In a beautiful location on the south coast of Anglesey's picturesque island, Beaumaris serves as a good starting point for a tour of Wales.
