Guests generally appreciate the cottage's cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. The large garden is a hit with dog owners, and the property's proximity to the beach and local amenities is frequently praised. Some concerns about road noise and maintenance issues are noted, but overall, guests enjoy their stays and often express a desire to return.
Most reviewers find the cottage to be very clean and tidy, with only a few minor comments about specific areas needing more attention. The positive remarks about cleanliness are consistent across reviews.
The location is well-received for its proximity to the beach and local facilities, though some guests mention the uphill walk from the beach and the adjacency to a main road as minor drawbacks.
The property is often described as comfortable and homely, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. However, some guests mention issues with room sizes and seating arrangements for larger groups.
Facilities are generally good, especially the kitchen, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as door locks, dampness, and heating control. Some guests also suggest the addition of more activities for bad weather.
While some guests mention thoughtful touches like tea and coffee, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or special extras provided by the hosts to accurately score this category.
Nestled just a short stroll from the beach, in the seaside village of Benllech, is this wonderfully appointed bungalow, H Jem. Well-equipped with all the amenities for a short stay, H Jem is an ideal base for a family wishing to getaway to the Isle of Anglesey. After a day on the beach, wash away the sand in the bathroom before relaxing in the lounge, equipped with a 50” Smart TV so you can enjoy a favourite movie together. Carry the conversation into the kitchen, fitted with contemporary units and appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine, so you won’t have to worry about bringing your whole wardrobe. If the weather is on your side, dine alfresco style at the patio furniture whilst your canine companion stretches their legs on the lawn. As you look to catch some rest, the master bedroom features a king-size bed and two twin rooms, ideally presented for a family getaway. When you’re ready to explore, there are many superb secluded sandy beaches at Benllech - a short walk from the bungalow is Traeth Benllech, offering generous expanses of inviting sand provide plenty of room for busy beach games, while the gently sloping shore is perfect for paddlers of all ages, and around the headland is Traeth Coch (Red Wharf Bay), a massive 10 square miles in all at low tide, with waders and wild fowl in residence throughout the year. Benllech is known for the beautiful Gwylfan Moelfre Seawatch, which overlooks the stunningly clear waters of the bay and is perfect for enjoying a peaceful day of fishing, swimming or simply relaxing in the sun. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, there are several restaurants, bars and takeaways in the village, including the popular Pebbles Bistro, The Breeze Hill and The Benllech. For seeking adventure, a scenic drive will bring you to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, filled with excellent walks, waterfalls and rambles into the wilderness. There’s plenty to look forward to during a holiday at H Jem, whatever time of year.
Benllech features a lovely, long, sandy beach that is popular with families, with a slipway for convenient access. A picnic area and a variety of stores and cafés along the beach, while the village centre has more shops, pubs, hotels, and restaurants. The hamlet itself is perfect for family holidays, while the rural location gives serenity and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey, and, of course, the beautiful Snowdonia mountains.

Love the new kitchen doors. Only gripe was the back bedroom mattress, the centre spring feels close the coming through. Everything else was perfect as always, comfy, clean and very well equipped. Oh, unlocking and locking the front door is a nightmare.
