Gorwel is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its spaciousness, ideal for family gatherings across generations. The property boasts a playroom, a large garden, and comfortable bedrooms. Its location is appreciated for tranquility and proximity to local attractions. Guests have enjoyed the wildlife, including red squirrels, and the property's suitability for children and pets.
The majority of guests have reported the property to be very clean, with particular mention of the cleanliness upon arrival. However, a few guests noted issues with damp and mould in some rooms, which slightly affects the overall cleanliness score.
The location is highly praised for its peaceful setting and convenience for exploring Anglesey and North Wales. The proximity to beaches, walks, and local amenities like pubs and cafes contributes to a high location score.
Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and appreciate the ample space and hot water supply. The presence of multiple bathrooms and a variety of TV options adds to the comfort. Some minor issues with a bedroom being cold and a bath leaking are noted.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, pantry, and garden suitable for BBQs. The playroom and outdoor games are highlights. Some guests mentioned a lack of a hosepipe and issues with showers, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.
While some guests mentioned a welcome pack, there is not enough information to determine the consistency or quality of these gestures. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will always be provided, and the score is set to null.

Plenty of space for family celebration and get together, even a playroom for the children. Comfortable and clean throughout. Kitchen well equipped. Everything you could want. Host got back to me straight away to answer my query and was very helpful. Great coastal walks nearby. Would definitely recommend.

But it had a lot of mould and damp on the walls in the bedrooms â¦. And the bedding on the beds was dampâ¦.Garden wasnât maintainedâ¦. Only one of the showers workedâ¦It was a very tired house that needed work doing on it and was not as Neat and tidy as the photos looked on the listing

Well equipped kitchen. Loved the large dinning table that allowed the whole family to eat together. The seating areas outside with view towards Llandudno with morning cup of tea was fabulous. The children absolutely loved the large garden space to run around & play. The childrenâs playroom was a real blessing to occupy the early risers! We did have problems with two showers but appreciated the quick response from Sykes holidays & the owners. The Sandy beach with cafe just 5mins drive was great for a family beach day & the coastal walk round to Anneâs pantry all highly recommended. Even the sun shone, thank you.
