The first floor houses two king-sizes with sofa beds, a double and a child bunk, on the second floor there is a super-king-size and two doubles, all furnished with plenty of storage for your belongings. The Bookcase lies at the heart of Colwyn Bay, pack up all your beach essentials and take a short walk to Colwyn Bay beach where you can indulge in a spot of sunbathing while the kids splash in the sea; the more adventurous among you can try your hand at paddle boarding or surfing. Treat your loved ones to a special meal at The Toad, a gastropub with stunning views across the sea, or celebrate your getaway with evening drinks at Sheldon Wine Bar or the Corner House. Spend the day at Welsh Mountain Zoo which houses rare animals including tigers, snow leopards and red pandas or head into Llandudno to take evening strolls along the pier or the cable car to the summit of Great Orme where you can marvel at the views across North Wales. Visitors of all ages can enjoy Colwyn Bay's sandy beaches, a promenade, a large park with a skateboard section, a leisure centre and bowling green, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Eirios Park, numerous shops, pubs and restaurants (one on the seafront by the watersports centre, is owned by the celebrity chef Bryn Williams, who also owns Odette's restaurant in London), as well as a theatre/cinema. With its proximity to North Wales' numerous tourist attractions, Colwyn Bay serves as a great starting point for exploring the region. Several annual events, including the Triathlon and Forties Festival, are held in the area. Annually in Llandudno, the Victorian Extravaganza is also held. There is a direct route from London Euston to Colwyn Bay that takes about 2 hours 45 minutes, with stops at Milton Keynes Central, Crewe, and Chester along the way.
