Guests say

The Moorings is a well-received apartment with stunning views of Conwy Castle and the sea, praised for its prime location and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches, including welcome treats. While most reviews are positive, a few guests mentioned issues with cleanliness and seating comfort.

Most guests found the apartment to be clean and comfortable. However, one review mentioned the need for a deep clean in certain areas, suggesting room for improvement. This isolated incident slightly impacts the overall high cleanliness rating.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and convenience for coastal walks, train links, and proximity to local attractions. The scenic setting and easy access to nearby towns contribute to an excellent location rating.

Guests generally regard the apartment as very comfortable, with a few noting the quality of the furnishings and the relaxing environment. A couple of guests mentioned a hard mattress and low seating, which slightly affects the comfort score.

The apartment is celebrated for its well-stocked kitchen, quality facilities, and overall maintenance. Guests are satisfied with the amenities provided, though there are minor comments about the seating and a suggestion for a walk-in shower.

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome treats and helpful communication. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

This superb, second floor apartment is located within the Deganwy Castle Apartments, a development in the heart of the seaside village of Deganwy, only a short stroll from bars, shops, restaurants and the beautiful coastline. Sited above the Conwy Valley railway line and commanding spectacular views across the river towards Conwy Castle and the hills beyond, you will feel right at home from the moment you step inside. There is a well-equipped, stylish kitchen with a dining area, while in the sitting room there are floor-to-ceiling bi-folding doors that open onto the Juliet balcony, with exceptional coastal views. There is also a double bedroom and a bathroom and outside, you will be spoilt for choice for things to do! Walk across the road to the lovely beach and onto the renowned North Wales coastline, cycle along the coastal path which runs right beside the development, or take a ferry ride across to the marina or the majestic medieval town of Conwy. For a Victorian twist, head in the opposite direction to Llandudno, a seaside resort with a pier, a promenade, a ski slope and a host of other attractions. If you feel like exploring further afield, the Snowdonia National Park, the Llyn Peninsula and the wonderful Isle of Anglesey are all within easy reach, offering endless opportunities for exciting days out. In a great location, this fantastic apartment is ideal for a holiday discovering North Wales, all year long.

The village of Deganwy, on the banks of the River Conwy at the mouth of the Estuary, is a very popular holiday destination. Deganwy has a harbour, a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and retains the ruins of Deganwy Castle, built in 1082 but later demolished. A wonderful base for exploring the wonders of North Wales!

Secure car parking adjacent to the apartment building. Easy self check in, with details provided by owner prior to arrival. Train station within 2 minutes walk, which we used to visit Llandudno rather than take the car ( 5 minute journey). Castle View pub highly recommended for food (15 minutes walk) Some more local bars & cafes were not open early in the week, during our stay.

The views and sunsets are amazing. The owners have thought of everything to make the apartment home from home. Hoping to return next year as there are many places still to visit.
