Reached via a private track and electric gates, Drovers Barn is a secluded getaway for eleven guests seeking a relaxing, luxury base to enjoy with loved ones. Enter into the stylish kitchen on arrival and be immediately impressed by the wonderful offering of appliances in this culinary haven, with two electric ovens, two fridges, a wine cooler, and many more at your fingertips, you can look forward to evenings spent around the breakfast bar with a glass of wine while food simmers on the hob. Delight in coming together around the dining table in the next room for family meals, with a TV in the corner perfect for catching up on the news with breakfast. A handy cloakroom can be accessed from the kitchen, whilst heading back through the kitchen and up four steps brings you into the heart of the home; the spacious sitting room features a beautiful wood burning stove in the corner, placed perfectly before the large corner sofa where you can wind down as you watch the Smart TV. Weâve had a lovely stay in a lovely part of Wales. The barn is lovely, previous negative reviews about a lack of glasses or crockery have obviously been addressed and there is plenty of everything. The outdoor facilities are excellent, there is a walk through the woods, electric gates, a full recycling area, and lots that really makes this barn and the stay special. The draw back for me, is it feels very much like business, with no home touches to make you feel at home. Weâve gone away twice a year as a family for about 10 years, and this is the first time thereâs been nothing in the house when you get in, no pint of milk in the fridge, no salt or pepper at all, no welcome pack, limited information pack (we didnât know where the bins were till we were leaving and had all our recycling stacked up on a worktop), absolutely no check out instructions leaving us unsure what was expected of us on the last day. These little things would genuinely make it a 10/10 stay, as the facilities and the barn are lovely. The cleanliness was adequate, the barn felt very clean and tidy when we arrived, however some of the linen and towels were stained, a lot of the glasses were dirty (may have been the fault of the previous tenant) and the outdoor lights werenât working, although this was fixed on our final evening. All in all, weâve had a great week, and I would love to come back again. We would just have a much better stay with a little more information and a couple of basic home comforts on hand.

Nice enclosed garden for the dogs and children. Overall the property was clean. What wasnât clean were the bed sheets, they might have been washed but one single bed sheet had a very large stain on it, one of the queen bed duvets had marks on at the top. My daughter had to remake her queen bed as the bottom sheet only went up to below the pillows. The mattress cover was dirty and covered in hairs, she didnât tell me this till the day before we left or I would have brought it to the attention of the owners. I didnât want to look at any other mattress covers. Put me off the property Didnât like the wood fired hot tub. Only used it a couple of times, which was a shame as the grandkids love a hot tub, my husband had to keep the fire going for up to two hours for us to use it. I wouldnât stay at another property with this kind of hot tub. Also there was no welcome basket, first property we have ever stayed at without one. Always thinks itâs a nice gesture from the owner to welcome you and hope that you like the stay at their property.

Everybody loved the Barn and its beautiful surroundings . All bedrooms were perfect and the bathrooms beautiful with great showers . A truly well kept holiday cottage with under floor heating and the added bonus of a hot tub . We hope return .
