Glan y Gors is a traditional Welsh cottage appreciated for its comfortable accommodation, stunning views, and good location for walking and hiking. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and the responsiveness of the owner. The property's garden and open fire were highlights, contributing to a pleasant stay for families and large groups.
Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including dust, grime, and a musty smell. Some guests felt the need to clean upon arrival. However, not all reviews were negative, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is frequently praised for its stunning views and proximity to walking routes. It is described as peaceful and well-situated for outdoor activities, although some guests noted it was hard to find without precise directions.
Guests found the cottage warm and comfortable, with a welcoming open fire and sufficient space. Some furniture was noted as 'well-worn' and beds received mixed reviews, suggesting room for improvement in comfort.
The property is well-equipped, with a good standard of appliances and ample hot water. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as a leaking shower and concerns over electrical setups. The garden play equipment and BBQ area were also noted as needing attention.
Guests mentioned welcome packs and decorations for special occasions, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as these gestures may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay, they should be considered a bonus rather than an expectation.

We had booked this property last minute after another airbnb fell through. The location was fantastic, only a short drive to Lake Padarn. It was very spacious; more than enough room for our party of 8. The beds were extremely comfortable. They appeared to be brand new, as well as the couches. The place was fully equipped with anything we could have needed for our week stay. Would definitely recommend or book again!
