Glanaig is a spacious and well-equipped bungalow in Porthmadog, appreciated for its lovely location, enclosed garden suitable for dogs, and proximity to the beach. Guests have enjoyed the peaceful setting and the thoughtful amenities for both humans and pets. While some maintenance issues were noted, the property's charm and the prompt response to problems have led to repeat visits and positive experiences.
The property received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests found it clean and well-maintained, while others reported issues such as a smelly environment, dirty shower, and unclean kitchenware. The garden was also mentioned as needing attention.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to the beach, and lovely views. It serves as a great base for exploring the area, with easy access to local shops by car.
Comfort levels are generally good, with guests finding the bungalow spacious and the beds comfortable. However, some guests mentioned issues with mattresses and central heating, suggesting room for improvement.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially for dog owners, but there are several mentions of maintenance needs such as the grass needing cutting, outdated kitchen appliances, and a lack of recycling instructions. The prompt repair services are a plus.
While the reviews reflect a thoughtful setup for dogs and a well-equipped kitchen, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under this category. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

We had difficulty with the Video player and TV, it needs instructions for the older less tech minded. But overall the property was very good. I straightend the bungalow key as it was bent and cleaned the patio door runner to make it easier to open. If I had my tool kit with me I would have made a few minor repairs. We did have a wonderful holiday. We will book with you again for next year.

Ten minutes walk to the beach. Well decorated/maintained, clean and spacious. Would stay again.

Shower needed cleaning when we arrived. Plates in the cupboards still have left over food on them. No instructions for the bins, we put them out to match the neighbours but they didnât get emptied. Bedding very creased (I iron mine at home) and most things smelt dirty. On the plus side lots of hot water, garden was secure and location was good. We have stayed in this area before and this bungalow was âdingyâ and under parr - needs a thorough clean and some money spent on it. The fridge was too small, the cooker rusty and dirty. It wasnât the most expensive property but a level of cleanliness is expected
