Guests have praised Panteurig Farmhouse for its peaceful location, beautiful views, and spaciousness. The property is appreciated for its traditional charm, underfloor heating, and proximity to scenic walks and beaches. The welcoming host and thoughtful touches, such as Welsh cakes, have been well received. Some concerns were raised about soundproofing and occasional wildlife visitors.
The farmhouse is generally described as very clean. However, a few guests mentioned an issue with woodlice, which slightly impacts the cleanliness score.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, stunning scenery, and access to walks and beaches. It's noted as a great base for exploring Pembrokeshire.
The property is consistently described as comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfy beds. The mention of a need for blackout curtains in one bedroom slightly reduces the comfort score.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and large garden. Points are deducted for comments on the need for better soundproofing, the replacement of non-stick pans, and the mention of poor Wi-Fi.
While guests have mentioned thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gifts across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will be provided.
Strumble Head is a great place for walking and watching the fabulous native and migrating wildlife such as seals, porpoises, dolphins and birds. Panteurig Farmhouse dates back to 1795 and is near a huge rocky outcrop called Garn Fawr, a Dark Sky site, just above Pwllderi in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. On a clear day you can see down to St Davids, over to the Preseli Hills and across to Ireland.
The nearby towns of Goodwick and Fishguard are about 10 minutes by car and offer individual shops, restaurants and pubs.
St Davids with its magnificent cathedral and Newport with its lovely beaches, are both well worth visiting and are each within a half hour drive.
If you enjoy walking, a bridleway/footpath leads from the Farmhouse to the 186-mile-long Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Alternatively, the seasonal coastal bus service passes the end of the lane if you prefer to walk a different stretch.
Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.

Very roomy and comfortable. The welcome Bara Brith cake was delightful and inspired us to bring some more home! Recommended.

Olwen was a lovely host and nothing was any trouble. We hope to return again.

My one irritation was that the advertising made no mention of the building site next to the back garden. At around 8am, the cement mixer would start up. Had the weather been hot enough to sit in the back garden, we'd have listened to the builder's radio and their general chat. Once the work is complete, the site will be (once again) very peaceful.
