Guests say

Guests consistently praise the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and stunning views. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to walking trails, despite the steep access road. The conservatory and garden are highlights, contributing to a peaceful holiday experience. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Reviews frequently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as well maintained and clean, which indicates a high level of satisfaction in this category.

The location is celebrated for its superb views and quietness, ideal for a relaxing getaway. The steep access road is noted, but does not detract significantly from the overall positive reception of the location.

Comfort is highlighted with the cottage being described as cosy and comfortable. Some dated furniture and a creaky bunk bed are mentioned, but these are minor points in otherwise positive feedback.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and decent shower. The lack of a dishwasher and an outside tap for cleaning muddy items are the only drawbacks mentioned.

While guests are appreciative of the amenities and the helpfulness of the host, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

We had everything we needed. The view was utterly stunning and we woke up to a cloud inversion on two mornings. Thank you very much.

Only thing is it should be stated is that the access is up a very steep and narrow road. The toilet seat needs looked at it kept coming loose. The extractor fan in the toilet was noisy after a few minutes.

The cottage was comfortable, nicely furnished, had everything we needed. The conservatory with views east over the valley was especially appreciated, and the lawn in the garden. We also were very glad that the cottage stayed cool during some very hot days! A great area for walking: the Taff trail, the 'Alt', the walks from the top of the reservoirs up the valleys towards Pen y Fan etc. Talybont a nice little town, useful post office/cafe/shop and the Star Inn did very good meals.
