Guests say

Beudy Dolpebyll is a characterful cottage praised for its rustic charm, peaceful and beautiful setting, and friendly owners. Guests enjoyed the spacious garden, wildlife, and cosy atmosphere, with amenities meeting most needs. While some guests reported cleanliness and maintenance issues, the majority had a positive experience, finding it a lovely home away from home.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be well-kept, though there were notable exceptions with one review citing significant cleanliness issues, including mould and dirt. This appears to be an outlier, as other reviews do not mention such problems.

The location is highly praised for its tranquility, rural charm, and proximity to nature and local attractions. The garden and surrounding areas were particularly appreciated, although some noted the access road is narrow.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and efficient heating. Some mentioned the property being small with low beams and tricky stairs, which could affect comfort for taller individuals or those with mobility issues.

The property is equipped with necessary amenities like a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer. However, some guests felt the property needed a refresh and better lighting, and there were occasional issues with the gas supply.

While the reviews reflect the owners' helpfulness and friendliness, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be expected by future guests. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for thoughtfulness in terms of gifts.

Uriges, historisches Cottage in Mittelwales. Das Haus ist liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufgeschlossen. Wir hoffen, dass wir es schaffen, einmal wiederkommen zu dürfen.

Adjoined to the owners house, but cleverly fenced off, so it feels private and the addition of a stream next to the private meadow at the bottom of the garden was beautiful. The boys enjoyed a blissful few hours bug hunting & playing by the stream, we found a pebbly bit further down to the right, where they enjoyed skimming stones and paddling. The cottage was full of character and well laid out for a family. I could sit by the arched window all day, beautiful. The kitchen was outstandingly equipped, and I was able to cook from scratch, not missing anything. If there was anything to improve... it would be the toaster was misbehaving, so you have to hold down the slider to toast. The shower was colourfully decorated and spotlessly clean, unfortunately there was a strong chemical smell in there. We are a neurodivergent family, so a few of us could not bear to be in there. This didn't bother my husband however, who had a shower. It was hardly noticeable in the upstairs bath room, and we enjoyed bubbly baths in the tub, just sharing incase it helps to improve things. The provision of a welcome basket was much appreciated and a friendly hello on arrival from the owner to check if we had any questions was very kind. We only wish we were able to stay longer! The birdsong here was a real treat for us, and we used the app merlin to identify the following. Garden warbler, Song thrush, Great Tit, Blackcap, Goldfinch, Blue Tit, ChiffChaff, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Dunnock, Redstart, Magpie, Crow, Rook. It would have been lovely to see them, so the addition of a bird table would be fun. All nature lovers, make sure to pack your binoculars.

The cottage is very well equipped for a comfortable stay and the heating is very efficient if you are staying during the colder months. The lovely garden leads down to the river which I would imagine is perfect in the summer. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely want to return next year.
