It's spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Although the cottage is on a busy road, traffic noise is minimal and not a problem. The location is fabulous with direct access to the road that takes you to all the beautiful places that are within easy reach. Sunsets can be stunning when the sun goes down behind the mountains. We visited Portmerien, which is well worth a visit, and we went to ZIP World and completed the Velocity. It's not for the faint hearted but an incredible experience. Bala, Dolgellau, Fairbourne, and many others are all great. We also visited the Corris craft centre which has some lovely unique craftsmen and women. The cottage is in the middle of the Mach loop, and there's jet fighters flying over at low level throughout the day, which we enjoyed immensely. We plan to return to the cottage early next year.

Very cosy and clean inside, beautiful well looked after garden. Ieuan & Gwyneth are very welcoming and provide everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Welsh cakes, cupcakes and fresh flowers in the kitchen were a nice touch. Fireplace is set and ready to go. We used it every day and run out of wood so the hosts supplied us with more daily for a small fee. There are also books and games for the kids to entertain themselves on a rainy day. It really felt like home away from home for us. We will be back! Thank you so much!!!

we brought along lots of essentials that we didn't actually need as they were already here! (hand soap, fairy, wash pods, clingfilm, foil etc) a very well stocked place to stay. You really only need to bring clothes, shoes and hygiene products - oh and snacks! The welcome tray is great as you can settle in first then hunt for the shop! Loved the shower - just missing something to put your toiletries on. Great to have instant hot water and really toasty heating! I found it very easy to find with the what three words location - being on the main road in this case is a big bonus. We didn't really notice the road noise as we wore ourselves out to notice it! spent most of our time out and about but when we were at the cottage if we were not sleeping we sat in the kitchen/diner watching the lambs leaping and playing. We had a lovely few days here and would highly recommend as a base for visiting around the area. With regards to local attractions such as the deep mine and zip line I would recommend checking their websites and pre booking to avoid a missed opportunity. Also check the terms and conditions with regards to health suitability also. The owners are lovely, really helpful and are only next door if you need anything. This cottage has everything you need for a stay in Wales. So much so you could literally move live there! Blaenau Ffestiniog is just under a 20 min drive away for the mines and zip lines, The Llanberis pass is a great sightseeing opportunity as is the huge local lake at Trawsfyndd All in all for us, our first visit to North Wales - and it was a great experience!
