  the cottage is very comfortable to stay in and the location is good for all the places we like,Milldale,Dovedale,Manifold valley etc etc.The cottage is easy to keep clean being tiled floors...except the bedroom,this is very good in wet weather with a dog.The fixtures and fittings are all of a good quality with nice sheets and towels etc.The owners live next door but you dont know it as they leave you to your privacy although we did meet the owner who is a very nice man.We really enjoyed the cottage and our stay,if i had to try and pick a fault i suppose not having a washing machine would be it,but we had a wet week so in normal weather this would not be a problem.

  The location is beautiful and so peaceful regardless of being next to a road but be aware that guests can’t access the garden at the rear of the property (this is included in the property description). Although it is well-equipped, the kitchen area is tiny but who wants to cook a meal when there are plenty of lovely places where you can eat out! The shower is really powerful and there is plenty of hot water and there is more than enough storage in the bedroom, including several coat hangers. I think if you are planning to be out all day and want somewhere cosy for the night this property is ideal.

  We loved this cottage, it was immaculate , everything was so clean and welcoming, with COVID still an issue it’s very worrying about staying in any holiday places but no need to here we can’t praise it enough ,there are lovely places to visit in and around the area or if like us we wanted a quiet holiday away from crowded places the cottage is great and comfortable just to chill , would very much recommend and most probably go again.

  The cottage is very near perfect, with just one caveat. A delicate matter, we have a firm mattress at home & very much appreciate a comfortable bed. The mattress at the property is extremely 'soft'. For us, it spoilt the otherwise very comfortable stay. We would seek to rebook in the future, but not as things are with the bed. I repeat the property is excellent, thanks to the kind owners.

  We had a lovely week in the Peak District. Farriers is just outside the village of Ilam up a steep hill. The accommodation was very comfortable & there are superb views of the hills & sheep from the front & rear windows. The Kitchen is a little cramped but on holiday in normal times one hopes not to be doing much cooking anyway. Owners very pleasant.
