  A lovely studio with everything you need for a few days break in the relaxing Kent countryside. Rachel couldn't have been more helpful and we were grateful for everything she did to help us. The surrounding villages are beautiful and a visit to The Bull at Benenden is a must. A word of advice though, if you want to eat there you must book in advance, such is its popularity. If you decide to take a walk across the fields we suggest you take an OS map. We got lost and the phone signal is sporadic at best. Our thanks to a lovely lady who came to our rescue, she helped us on our way, walking part of the route with us and she was there at the end of our walk to make sure we reached our destination safely. All in all we had a lovely time and will definitely return to this idyllic part of the beautiful Kent countryside.

  The Barn Studio was the ideal setting for a relaxed week away from the normal day to day hubbub. The property was ideally equipped to accommodate the two of us, having everything we needed, it was nice to have the choice of shower, or bath in which to relax after a day exploring the Kent Wealds. Owners, Rachael and William made us feel very welcome and were happy to suggest places to visit if we wanted. We enjoyed the relative quiet of the area and were lucky to have some lovely sunny days as a bonus. Most places we wanted to visit were easily accessible and within a reasonable driving distance. Bodiham Castle and Rye were particular favourites of those places we visited. Highly enjoyable break and we headed for home feeling nicely chilled out.

  Re equipment. Not major but a couple of Pyrex bowls and a measuring jug, maybe also a silicone spoon would have been handy. (Spoon just my preference to wooden. On recommendation. I'm quite cautious, so would prefer to use the website on another occasion before recommending. Generally all was good, owners friendly, quality of furnishings and bedding very good. Excellent location for visiting so many attractions, gardens, railways, National Trust - we notched up 14 locations in 8 and a half days!

  Enjoyed our stay.

  Good, clean and well-equipped cottage and great swimming pool. However, it is unacceptable to even mention the tennis court as a facility as it was in an unplayable condition, which was disappointing. Also, loose paving stones, especially on the steps, need fixing as an accident could happen. Final comment is that if you state 'no pets' you should also warn customers that you have a dog that wanders around the garden. No matter how well-behaved Digby is, some people may have a problem with dogs.

  I appreciate the provisions provided, including bread, butter, eggs and delicious cake. The flowers add an appropiate touch. I spent just over a week at the Barn Studio and was surprised that the towels and bedding were changed, and the studio cleaned and tidied. This is an example of the consideration shown by my hosts who are always welcoming and helpful.
