  Nestled in a tranquil, picturesque setting, this hidden gem offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The combination of luxury and nature here is simply unbeatable. The facilities at Southdown Luxury Glamping are second to none. The accommodations was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort. With plush bedding, a cozy wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchenette, it felt like a home away from home—but with a far better view! The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the tasteful décor to the top-notch amenities that made our stay feel truly luxurious. The private hot tub was an absolute highlight, allowing us to unwind under the stars in complete privacy. The surrounding environment added to the magic. We were completely enveloped by the serene countryside, where the only sounds were the gentle rustling of leaves and the melodic calls of local wildlife. It was impossible not to feel a sense of peace and relaxation, especially when enjoying a morning coffee on the deck. The location is fantastic, offering the best of both worlds—secluded and peaceful yet within easy reach of charming villages and beautiful walking trails. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area, but we also loved returning to our little haven at Southdown, where we felt utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. Overall, Southdown Luxury Glamping exceeded all expectations. It’s the perfect choice for anyone looking to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the tranquillity of nature without compromising on comfort.   Firstly, appreciate we arrived an hour early but the property was obviously ready for us arriving.

  We asked the lady in the property if we could go inside as we needed the Wi-Fi for work. She called her ‘manager’ who stated we could go inside if we paid £20 to a link. We chose to sit in the car. Secondly, place wasn’t very clean. Food remnants down the cushions of the ‘sofa’ which tips forward when you sit on it, a tv that isn’t watchable due to where it’s situated, and a fridge that’s both marked and damaged and the freezer obviously hasn’t been defrosted in years - we couldn’t actually put anything in it without it falling out. Next, misleading information - ‘1 mile to the nearest pub’. It’s not. It’s 1.75-2 miles and the road doesn’t have a pavement and is unlit. And as for ‘put the lid back on the hot tub correctly or we’ll fine you £50’ - what on earth are you thinking?! First time using Sykes cottages and this property and will be the last. We came home 2 days early (which we notice hasn’t been acknowledged) as we were completely fed up. Either represent the property and area correctly or don’t do it at all. Such a shame as Wales is beautiful but when you learn you could have stayed in a two level property right in the centre of Rhayader for £10 less PER NIGHT, it doesn’t help. Won’t be back. And anyone who asks about Sykes cottages, won’t be getting a recommendation from us. You ruined our holiday. Thanks.

  Title: The Lake Districts Bolthole Location: High Wreah Bolt Hole is perfectly located, and I found it to be an ideal base for exploring the area, with numerous picturesque spots just a short distance away.

  Amenities: The bolthole itself is well-equipped with all the modern conveniences you could need. The kitchen is fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living area is cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Experience: Absolutely nothing to complain about. My stay was nothing short of wonderful. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and at the start of the break, even provided a rescue service, after I had got lost when my Satnav sent me to the wrong address Highlights: One of the standout features of High Wreah, is its proximity to some of the Lake District’s most famous attractions. Buttermere, Wasdale and Keswick are only a 40 minute drive, with plenty of photographic opportunities along the way. Additionally, the peaceful and tranquil setting of the cabin made it a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Improvements: The tv signal was a bit spotty at times. However, this minor inconvenience did not detract from our overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend High Wreah Bolt Hoke to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in the Lake District.

  Loverly little place nice and cozy can't fault the owners or cleanliness of the place at all all it was very nice I think the listings photos were a little deceptive making it look like the building was on its own somewhere on a road its not its on farmland with a house right opposite the property and a holiday caravan and the owners home next to it There's no oven in the kitchen so if you want to cook a meal it's micro wave or bedsit style hot plate and the fire isn't an open one or woodburner despite the pokers and bucket of coal in the photos its electric To add You would be way too hot with a real fire the place had an electric radiator and was allways warm it was just something I was looking forward to in my stay and thought this had it Only real issues with the place is the bathroom is tiny if your a big person 6ft its very hard to use the shower the cubical is tiny As an idea of space you can use the bathroom sink and open shower cubicle sitting on the toilet And climbing a ladder to bed is not really as much fun as you remember as a teenager when your nearly 50 Wouldent stop me coming back though I enjoyed my stay overall

  Many thanks for a wonderful break away in your beautifully clean and well equipped lodge.

  We have stayed in many places and I must say it’s rare to arrive and see exactly what you see on the advertised photos. It was a real home from home, everything we needed and more. Lovely and warm, comfortable seating and beds! The lodge is perfectly placed to enjoy the local area whether you stay close or go further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed Windermere , so much to see and do. Amazing shops and beautiful coffee shops with lovely food and friendly people. Recommend taking a boat trip. Ambleside and Grassmere are wonderful to visit and so much on offer. The scenery is a delight and theres walks aplenty! The apple pie bakery must be a stop off in Ambleside you won’t be disappointed despite the long queue to wait for a table. Make the most of the hot tub especially looking up to the unspoilt sky after a day of walking. The on site facilities are tired and in need of a refurb - especially the bar/restaurant which wasn’t somewhere we would return however that said you have so many lovely places on the doorstep to eat out in, it’s not a deal breaker! We will certainly recommend this gem to our friends and family.
