What our customers say about their holidays

Liked the property overall, the bed was very comfortable & loved the open fire, but there were issues with facilities.
The heating was not on on arrival, three radiators switched off & we had to figure out how it worked to heat the house up. The bathroom was always freezing with the heated towel rail working every now and again. We did eventually learn how to turn it on but were always out before it heated up. Cooking facilities were poor. The cooker hood needs a good clean and bulbs replacing. The roasting tin and baking sheet were rusty and unusable, there are only two saucepans with lids and three small milk pans - why is a proper set not provided? Couldn't turn the oven on & had to phone up for instructions as there were none. Despite having three welcome folders there were no instructions for any appliances. The washing machine is not level, rocks on two feet & had to be wedged up with a book to stop it roaming around the kitchen. Had to buy an airer to hang clothes to dry. Had to buy a new plug for the kitchen sink and had to improvise a plug for the bathroom sink. Had to buy a set of allen keys to tighten up the table legs to stop it wobbling around (& potentially collapsing). The weather was poor with conditions outside very muddy. No mop was provided so, unfortunately, we couldn't clean the floors properly before we left. Towels provided are tiny & only just fitted round our waists. If we'd known would have brought our own. We enjoyed our stay overall, we don't usually let poor facilities dampen our enjoyment, but are very disappointed to have again paid a high price for a UK holiday property that fell short. The location is lovely but is definitely not worth the money we paid.

"I don't think anyone should stay here ever... so there will always be room for me and my friends!!! Eight of us stayed in Fern Cottage to celebrate a birthday weekend. It was delightful - as we walked through the door each one of us announced we could happily live there. The space works well for a larger group, with the lounge and dining area interconnected. On our second night, we enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and were delighted to have a good sized fridge for a change. Glassware/crockery etc was good quality and plentiful, there were lots of kitchen gadgets (including some more esoteric but essential in Walberswick, like an oyster knife!) and the store cupboard had many useful ingredients from seasoning, to stock pots and olive oil. Our gifts came in handy too! Upstairs, bedrooms and bathrooms were again attractive and really functional - lots of space, good storage, comfortable beds, strong showers with plentiful hot water, heated towel rails etc. Outside, the secure and dog friendly garden provided a lovely space to soak up the early spring sunshine. Parking for three cars off road in Walberswick is yet another bonus. We all left with heavy hearts, wishing we could stay longer in (or, preferably, own) this lovely house. Sheila"

Celebration weekend for my Husbands 50th birthday. The Leveretts is a gorgeous property, Lovely décor and furnishings, great social spaces, fantastic location, fantastic views over the coast. As a group of friends, we had plenty of room to relax and enjoy each others company. Fully stocked kitchen and generous size oven which coped with Christmas dinner for all of us. Great that we could all sit round the dinning table together without a squash. Both lounges have woodburning stoves, kept us lovely and warm. All bedrooms are good size, nice that they all open up onto the balcony, lovely to have coffee overlooking the sea views. Beds reported to be comfortable, nice linen and towels provided. Lovely outside space, love the grasses. Overall lovely property in a quaint village, would visit again.

Thank you for this beautiful gem of a cottage located right in the heart of the chocolate box village of Walberswick. We were greeted into the cottage by a very generous hamper which was so appreciated. The cottage itself is just stunning - contemporary and modern in style, lovely bright colours, and has such a homely feel. Very well equipped kitchen and fabulous master bedroom. Thank you for the generous stack of logs for the wood burner. The Black Dog deli is amazing! Homemade cakes to die for, especially the millionaire shortbread and the bread and butter pudding. Literally less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and across the road from the Anchor pub. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

An ideal property for a family holiday. Fern Cottage is located a stone's-throw from the beautiful beach and crabbing bridges, perfect for little legs. There is also a small children's playpark nearby. Lovely secure garden which was ideal for the children to play in too. The attic rooms are well appointed for children and our eldest son enjoyed having his own 'space' though we did note that there were no safety catches on the windows. The open plan lounge and dining area is a fabulous sociable space. First Floor bedrooms particularly nicely decorated. Having the Anchor pub across the road and the Black Dog Deli within a 2 minute walk was handy - both have a fantastic offering.
