  This is a very attractive property in a superb position on the site.

  It's at the top of a steep hill, but this means that it is secluded and quiet (nothing behind it but a bank with wild flowers, then trees, and the lodge in front is completely hidden by the slope) and the wide view over the sea, the estuary and Borth is quite special. The lodge is extremely well-appointed, furnished in a modern style, sparkling clean and very comfortable. My friend and I chose it partly because I'm disabled, we're both old and it had a ramp rather than steps, but be warned, it's a very long ramp and getting the luggage in was still hard work - not a problem for normally fit people, obviously. One tiny niggle, born out of the high quality of the appliances. Having less sophisticated ones at home, we were a bit bemused by the controls on the cooker/microwave and the dishwasher and there were no instructions; a little list of icons and their meanings would have been very useful! The friendly and concerned owner tried really hard to communicate with us before and during our stay. Unfortunately for both parties, it all landed in my Spam folder, so believe the Sykes site and take their advice to check your spam! Because we didn’t receive the instructions we'd been sent to guide us through the site, we asked for directions at Reception and were told, oh that's the best spot on the site. It was, and we recommend it thoroughly.

  The view from the lodge makes this accommodation really special.

  It's very clean and cosy as well and is easily accessible by car with good parking outside - which is welcome as it would be a steep climb with all the cases otherwise! We used the lodge as a base for walking along the coastal path and exploring this beautiful area of mid Wales. There is a two hourly bus and train from Borth, the bus runs by the holiday park entrance and there is a large free car park more or less opposite the site entrance - so if you can't, or you don't fancy the walk up and down the hill from the lodge then this would be really handy. Aberwystwyth is the major draw close by, but I'd also recommend a trip to Machllyneth as well to see the old Welsh Parliament (closed Wednesdays) and the Owain Glyndor centre next door, which has a nice cafe - there is also a small modern art gallery based in an old restored chapel building.

  After sustaining a broken leg in the summer I decided to book a half term break fairly close to home and to find a property which was all on one level and with a walk-in shower.

  Denbigh 8 fitted these requirements perfectly but turned out to be far more than just a suitable place for my reduced mobility. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and equipped to a very high standard indeed. The view over the bay was stunning and constantly changing with the time of day and the weather conditions. The area far exceeded our expectations and we found plenty of things to do, including a great steam train trip on the Vale of Rheidol railway, a concert at Aberystwyth University’s arts centre and another at the Tabernacle in Machynlleth. In short it was a great experience and inspired me to start learning Welsh!

  An absolutely superb caravan.

  It was spacious, clean and fully equipped with everything a family would need. The caravan is situated at the top of the site but this was a total advantage because the views across to Aberdovey were breathtaking. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. The facilities on the site were excellent. My family had a great holiday and would definitely return especially to Denbigh 8 as it exceeded our expectations. A very happy and memorable family holiday, thank you

  Highly recommended.

  Great position at the top of the site with lovely views and a very quiet area even in high season. Unless you are younger and fitter best to drive down the hill. But not a problem for us. Thanks to the owner for providing park passes although we didn’t use them. Everything felt brand new and was very comfortable, couldn’t find anything missing and the owner is on hand anyway. Thank you. We don’t often say this but we will be back.
