What our customers say about their holidays

We really enjoyed our stay, although the neighbours were extremely difficult.
When we arrived we pulled into the bay by the property to unload our belongings, a young woman from the house in front of the bay immediately came out and shouted at us, she also insulted me when I told her we were only unpacking our stuff, we didnât plan on parking there. The lady at the back said thereâs been a lot of bother from them; however they didnât bother us again. Then my husband and I were in the kitchen with the door open at the back when a large dog came bounding through the door and tried to attack me, my husband threw water on it and was able to intimidate the dog so that it moved and we managed to barricade ourselves behind the back door until finally my husband closed the door. I was quite shaken by the experience. My husband shouted through the window for the neighbour at the end to get his dog- he didnât and it continued to bark aggressively at us from behind the door; bearing its teeth and ready to attack when we tried to open/close the door window to shout to the man. He was actually hiding behind his gate as we could see him ducking behind the door. Iâm concerned that if I had have been a child or my new 12 week old puppy- this would have been a sad story. I loved the cottage though, so beautiful, comfortable and clean. I would say that I wouldnât take children or elderly people, just in case. Unless the problem is resolved but how could you resolve this? I would not allow this to stop you renting this property- it really is that good, just be careful about the parking and be careful in the shared backyard where thereâs no gate between you and the end neighbours with the dog. (The neighbour has a gate but heâd obviously opened it to let his dog out). Ok, so the garden is absolutely gorgeous, very quirky set up on two/three levels. Lovely lady lives next door feeds the seagulls everyday, be careful thereâs loads of them that flock there- not a problem for us as we werenât home in the morning. BBQ area is pleasantly arranged and plenty of seating and cushions. The lights didnât work when we were there, but we werenât in the garden late anyway. Overall I would stay here again because it felt very homely, but Iâd be extremely careful out the back door in the communal yard part. We never saw the dog before or after it attacked us. There is a gate on the main garden and itâs one step from the back door. Just be careful as you always are in public areas. And donât speak to the house on the left of the property, very rude. The heating was perfect, bedding ok, decor and condition of the place was just right and spotlessly clean. In a near perfect location. Two large Terraces that look across the bay- stunning. Thanks again.

This house is beautifully presented, absolutely immaculately clean and very comfortable for 2-4 guests.
We were let down with another place in the peaks right at the last minute, so ended up booking this the same afternoon and headed straight there. On arrival, there was a welcome pack with essentials like tea, coffee, milk sachets, biscuits, though were surprised to a bottle of wine too. The kitchen is very well stocked, even supplying things you wouldnât expect like sandwich bags, tin foil and kitchen roll. The property is super pet friendly, with an array of pet supplies like bowls in different sizes and dog mess bags. The garden is very secure and safe for pets, and I think the artificial grass is a good call for the hire market as itâs easier to maintain for both owner and guest. There was one mess in the back garden when we arrived, but I honestly think it was a cat rather than an oversight of the owner. The care and attention of the owners comes across with a welcome manual, intricate details often missed in rentals and the additional facilities such as an air fryer, outdoor furniture and Netflix accounts on the 3 tvs! Morecambe is also pleasant with good hearted people, including the next door neighbours. There are ponies in the field next to the property, they really appreciate carrots and apples, we made very good friends with them. There is only one small thing we think could be improved and thatâs the mattresses, theyâre very average in quality and not in keeping with the rest of the property. You can still get a good sleep, but if they were changed for something more plush then this would be a 5* property with no flaws whatsoever. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Sea La Vie is a very comfortable, cosy, beautifully renovated and decorated holiday home from home.
All creature comforts have been thought of by the very friendly and accommodating owner Nic. Very warm, owner keeps it at a very good temperature and was happy to increase it a bit when temperature dropped on first night (outside ). We had a really good weekend stay. Very well equipped large spacious kitchen and comfortable dining/living area. Liked the flat screen, thereâs several throughout house to accommodate all the guests. The upper gallery living room is stunning and great for amazing sunset/rise views. Double en-suite and kitchenette is well thought out. Lovely big walk in shower which was good for anyone who finds climbing in and out of a shower over bath. We all enjoyed our rooms and stay. Will definitely book again. Great location right on St Anneâs on Sea front. Good amenities close by, The Beach Cafe and Lytham restaurants. Lots of places of interest to visit, like George Fornbyâs house. Great shops in Lytham too. Thank you Sea La Vie, Nic.

Huge disappointment.
The property smelt badly of damp and mustiness mainly due to internal windows opening on to a blocked off conservatory, which was filled with junk. We also had to re-wash a few of the towels as they smelt too. Whilst the property is well maintained, not all areas were thoroughly cleaned - build up of dust on skirting boards etc. Sadly our main issue was the functionality of the lay out. As we were unable to open the internal downstairs bedroom window due to the awful smell, the bedroom was unusable. We had to move mattresses upstairs and slept in the lounge. On the positives - this house is in a fantastic location, has plenty of parking, and the views from the balconies are some of the best in the entire area.

The hosts were lovely and easy to contact.
Little details like leaving essentials, a card and wine were really lovely. The heating is weird how the times are already set and we were cold at times. I did reach out to the hosts and they resolved it for that evening but I felt like I needed it again the next afternoon but didnât want to reach out again. This didnât detract from the gorgeous property and views . . Couldnât knock the location. The upstairs living areas are really comfortable and plush but downstairs are a bit dated and uncomfortable . . . Maybe something to think about in the future. All in all a lovely property , great hosts, , fantastic views and location . . . We will definitely be back !
