What our customers say about their holidays

Carnorfa is a lovely cottage ideally located near the centre of the village with quick access to shops and pubs.
It's bit like a Tardis, looks small from the outside but very roomy inside. Basement has a bathroom with full bath and a small living room with TV. The entrance floor has the well equipped kitchen with a washing machine and separate dryer and a dishwasher. A large cooker with all the pots and pans you may need and a coffee machine. Pleasantly surprised by the welcome back - butter, bread, milk, etc. The fresh bread was fantastic! The living room had two sofas and an arm chair and a gas fire. The TV was a smart TV. Upstairs was a bathroom with a nice tub and a separate shower and two bedrooms. The top floor had sky lights with views to the sea additional seating and another shower room and a very comfortable bed. All the showers were pressure showers apart from the one in the basement which was electric. The street is a little narrow but there is enough space to park your car but remember to place the bin in the space when you go anywhere. Near by there are a few pubs - we tried them all and all had something different. Don't forget to try the cellar bar! We were there in early April and not everything is open all week at that time so make the most of going out from Thursday to Sunday. Day trip to St David's is a must along with was walk along the coastal path there. Stunning scenery awaits you!. Allow about 2 hours for the walk which is mostly flat except towards the end. Overall, Carnorfa is an ideal place to stay at and the property is modern and well looked after and equipped with the everything that is of high quality. You get what you pay for!

Had a fantastic trip to Pembrokeshire and stayed at Thorne Chapel.
We chose it because of its location near to dog friendly beaches of Freshwater West and East, Manorbier and walks around Bosherston, Stackpole and St Govan. As it is close to Castle Martin army base, you need to check when firing is happening as St Govan walk is restricted during those times. Seems as if firing stops at weekends, but goes on in weekdays. You can't actually hearing any firing. The beaches were out of this world and the dogs loved them. We took a trip into nearby Pembroke town which was beautiful with a huge castle in the centre, by the river. Thorne Chapel is a beautiful old chapel and retains original features, including front door and lecturn. I can't over state what a building building it is and the conversion is superb. It was a really peaceful place to stay. The owners provided everything you need and more, with excellent small thoughtful touches for humans and dogs! The cinema and surround system was a bit complicated at first and I think previous occupants had messed up the system. I was able to contact Sykes who let the owner know. He rang me immediately and we spent about an hour on the phone talking through the system, so that it worked. This resolved the problem and was able to enjoy the media system. If you want to make mobile phone calls or texts, you will need to walk out/ drive out to find a signal. Wifi was perfectly adequate, so we tended to use Whatsapp for texts and calls. All in all, a highly recommend place to stay and we will definitely be returning.

The most amazing 2 weeks.
Beautiful Chapel, comfortable sleeping and living. Everything you could possibly need. The projector with surround sound makes movie nights the best. The welcome basket was perfect after a 3 hour drive on our arrival day. This was our 4th or 5th stay needless to say we will return. It is close to the tank base where you can be a spectator for some of their manoeuvres, just look up their schedules. You can see and hear them if you walk down the path by the Chapel. Stand on the bank and be nosy. We picked heaps of sloe berries this time, gin I think will be added to those, and an abundance of blackberries. Great location for Freshwater West and East. Picked up lovely drift wood at West where you will find Cafe Mor!! Lovely walks in the Stackpole Estate forest. Lots of chestnuts at this time of year. Our dogs were exhausted after 2 weeks of different daily walks. I am booking another stay for March. Thank you for your beautiful holiday home

WOW WOW WOW!
!!!!! Fantastic, bright, clean and airy. Everything you could possibly need for a week away. Dog bowls, beds, treats and towels provided fur our 3 pooches. Which for us was our priority. Clearly they are dog lovers. The garden is safe and enclosed in order to let your dogs out almost unattended. Comfortable huge bed and a lovely bathroom to boot. Kitchen is a dream to cook in!. I love it here and don't want to go home. The projector and surround sound sets off a great evening for movies. Great selection DVD's. Only 10 minutes from the Fabulous Freshwater WEST beach. I could go there everyday with our dogs. I shall be championing this place and will certainly be returning next year. The cockerell and his ladies are a funny sight and roam freely. Friendly dogs up the road who want you to stop your car to say hello. oh and the welcome pack for us went down well, well treats and Prosecco

Another wonderful stay at the chapel.
We were so lucky with the weather. Everything you could possibly need in the chapel. Even did some baking. Lots of movement on the tank base and firing. This did not bother our dogs. Schedules can be googled and the spectators towers can be accessed. 5 minutes away by car. The path by the Chapel takes you alongside one of fields where you can see the tanks sometimes. Lots of walks. Can recommend the Walked Gardens. Spent a good 1.5 hours wandering around. Dogs on leads within the garden off lead outside towards outer walls. Lovely walk from Stackpole carpark to Barafundle. Dogs loved the swimming at Stackpole Quay. So much to do, so many different walks. Stayed 2 weeks and didn't want to go home. This place is a real gem that accepts our 3 dogs. A real home from home. We love it.
