  The access to the cottage was down a rough road followed by an unbelievably rough lane.

  We made sure we were home before dark as I would not have taken my car along it in the dark. Had I been aware of this access I would certainly not have booked this cottage. It was very remote and had few local amenities. Although the facilities on the whole were good and the overall cleanliness was of a high standard the sofa in the living area was well past it's sell by date and very uncomfortable. The outside seating needs replaced as it would not have enticed you to relax outdoors. The Owners were unfriendly, unhelpful, barely spoke to us on arrival and ignored us for the rest of our stay. This is the first time after numerous stays in cottages that we have had any complaint about the owners. Would we return to The Byre ....NO. Would we recommend anyone to book The Byre ...Only if they were driving a four by four and staying for only a couple of nights.

  We had a fantastic week staying in this gorgeous cottage.

  It is spacious, beautifully designed and equipped with absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking, a very peaceful haven after a day of exploring. The Hay Loft is adjoined to the owner's property however they are in no way imposing, they are very friendly, welcoming and happy to help. There is also a privacy fence so you don't feel on view when sat outside or in the hot tub. The hot tub was a very welcoming extra & well maintained. There are many walks in the area & lots of great pubs & restaurants to choose from. Bridgnorth itself is lovely, we particularly loved the Fat Olive Tapas, the food was amazing! We would definitely recommend & would return again in the future!

  Just perefct!

  A fantastic old house that enabled a great family get together. Our hosts were tremendous and welcomed us on our arrival, and provided an excellent introduction to the Clock Coach House, and catered very well for all our needs, they are very generous. The House (recently decorated) is very well equipped with both luxury items as well as excellent "Tech", everything worked perfectly and a very generous starter pack of items in the kitchen as well as items in the bathrooms. The location is idilic for those wanting a quiet retreat, whilst the local town of Bridgenorth is close for any needs. Overall we had a fantastic stay, and our two dogs enjoyed the safe rear enclosed garden, what more can I say; just perfect.

  Needing somewhere to stay while vising family & friends in Shropshire, I was very lucky to find The Byre.

  It was extremely clean and tidy, very comfortable and well equipped, quite the home away from home. No issues with WiFi, though mobile (EE) worked better outside. The property is on a working farm out in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Plenty of places to visit and see in the area, though own transport is a must. The property owners live down the driveway, but let you have your privacy. However, they are lovely people and were very approachable and helpful in my experience. There are also some very friendly dogs on the farm. I highly recommend The Byre and I certainly hope to stay there again. I had a wonderful time!
