What our customers say about their holidays

We arrived for the 1500hr check-in to find the patio doors open and the owner still busy inside.
The dishwasher and washing machine were partway through their cycle and the owner departed to purchase mould remover for the bathroom. He returned with wine, chocs and strawberries which was very kind of him. However, he left with the washing machine and dishwasher still going. We then noticed that the lounge and both bedroom doors had been damaged in what appeared to be a fight, with one bedroom door sealed shut. The lounge carpets were dirty with crumbs and hairs and all surfaces were very dusty. The kitchen floor and table were also dirty with dust, hairs and crumbs with greasy surfaces. There was a lack of cutlery, crockery and drinking vessels and the sink and taps were loose and unclean, with plates etc still on the drainage tray. It was so awful that I vacuumed the entire place myself and attempted to remove the grime from bedside tables and worktops. Despite this, our friends who arrived later noticed immediately how grubby the whole place was - very embarrassing for myself as I organised this break for everyone. The bedrooms and bathrooms were also filthy and strongly reeked of cigarette smoke, with aged pillows and mismatched bed linen in one of the rooms and a blocked toilet in the other. The smell when in bed was so bad that we left the next day. The 'double' beds were also 2 single mattresses held together by a double fitted sheet which came partially off in the night and the mattresses separated to leave an annoying gap. One of the beds had spiders in it which appeared when the duvet was turned back. I spent most of the night on the settee in the lounge. This 3 day stay cost us £939 and it was terrible - I don't know how it has a 3 star rating. The owner needs to get the entire place professionally deep-cleaned and dispose of all the pillows and probably mattresses, which we didn't dare look at. And properly stock the kitchen and clean and tidy all the drawers and cupboards. And sort the doors and fix the toilet. There was also a lack of smoke alarms.

The caravan is great in terms of facilities and little extras (including a lovely sign, bottle of bubbly, chocolate, flowers and crackers when we arrived).
The bedrooms and bathrooms are good and the main area a good size with lots to do (board games, table tennis, big internet TV etc.). Anything we needed we could find. The main downside is that it could be cleaner. The caravan is quite modern but is let down by things like hair in the bath, mirrors splattered and the floor needing a good hoover. There is a hoover there but it doesn't work very well. This is the main reason I wouldn't totally recommend others to stay there. There are also some DIY fixings which are a bit wobbly (e.g. we had to take one bedroom TV off the wall and rest on a firm surface instead). The other issue was that some of the key facilities we were excited about weren't available. The clubhouse and pool were closed for refurbishment which we weren't informed about. The host was very apologetic about this and gave us some cash as a refund. But this meant entertaining 4 teens without this variety that we'd expected. And I'd asked for the pool table to be set up in the main living area which it wasn't. One of the teens and I put this together which took about 2 hours (gave us something to do). We could then convert it into a full size table tennis table after 2 days. The hosts were friendly and accommodating (they live next door). So in terms of practicalities, facilities and comfort I'd say this is a great place to stay and base yourself. Once the main park facilities are open this would be even better of course. Just a bit more time on the cleaning so it didn't feel ever so slightly grimy would make this a really excellent place to stay.

Weâre just back from an amazing stay at The Stables.
It was so lovely to look out onto the view of the paddocks, we had a wonderful view of the horses grazing and also the three deer that like to wander onto the property. The accommodation was of an extremely high standard, not one corner has been cut. The Stables is all on ground level providing plenty of space for two people. The superking sized bed was so comfortable giving a wonderful nightâs sleep. The bathroom was very modern and the shower was exceptional. The lounge/diner were perfect with a comfy sofa and also a lovely modern kitchen that had everything youâd need to provide that home from home feeling. Our hosts Jo & Neil were so friendly and welcoming, they provided a welcome basket with all the necessities youâd need to make tea and for a light breakfast and even bottle of Prosecco. We also got to meet the resident horses which was a lovely touch being huge animal lovers. The Stables was an ideal base to explore Bosham and the surrounding areas, we had a fabulous weekend and hope to return again in the near future. We cannot recommend The Stables and of course, Jo & Neil highly enough.

Had a lovely stay at this lodge from 21st to 28th July.
It truly was a "games" lodge. My youngest grandson was in seventh heaven! Lol Very spacious and comfortable lodge with every amenity. Twin beds throughout were very comfortable. Utility area where you enter the lodge was useful and there was a small ensuite in the main bedroom which was a god send for us grandparents...lol TVs in two of the bedrooms and an extra one in the lounge for the XBox. Just a slight concern that none of these three TVs were actually fixed to the wall/desk, but just propped up. Also the majority of the lodge was clean, but there were a few areas where it could have been a bit cleaner (dust on some of the shelves/back of the bed, and on the base of the shower). On the whole though a very nice, spacious lodge where we had a great holiday. Owner lives next door and was very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Be aware that this lodge is not part of the Park Holidays site that it is on and we had to pay extra for use of the facilities (which was £100 for the 6 of us and that was only because the lady at reception did us a deal!).

Where shall i start?! Amazing accommodation, the cleanest, best thought out rental we have EVER stayed in. Jo & Neil the owners are really helpful lovely people & having their beautiful horses âin the gardenâ was an amazing plus - so therapeutic to sit & watch them in the paddocks from the balcony as the sun went down - beautiful sunsets, incredibly convenient location to pubs, sea, walks, local shop & pub - we extended our stay as we loved it so much - something we have never done before - not only will we definitely be returning we are counting the days till we can - HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Hayloft totally faultless due to Jo & Neils hard work & thoughtful design & planning in every area from the car parking to the great shower room.
