What our customers say about their holidays

We had a fantastic stay at ‘Twitchers Itch’, which was the perfect last-minute getaway for my birthday. We literally enquired at 3pm the night before and it was ready for us by 4pm the next day! The cottage itself is cosy, charming and spacious, and was made even more magical with the snow during our visit. The owners were incredibly accommodating and made us feel so welcome, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The snow caused a short power cut and the owners brought over extra firewood for us too! The super cute hot-tub added to the allure of this place! Our Siberian Husky, Skylar, especially loved exploring the snowy garden and nearby Willow Walk on the day we were snowed in! The thoughtful touches and kindness of the owners truly made our stay special. Can’t thank them enough. The only minor downside was that the towels had a damp smell to them, but this didn’t detract much from an otherwise perfect stay. Thank you, Caroline and Bill, for such a wonderful break! I’ve already passed on details of your cottage to a friend who wants to stay with her doggo too!

Absolutely amazing!
It's exactly how it is seen on photos and description... Only better!! Stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday and honestly couldn't of asked for anything better! Perfect place to escape the hustle of everyday life, so peaceful and private!Cabin was so cozy and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! There wasn't anything that hadn't been thought of to ensure the perfect stay and the air con was an absolute bonus! Hot tub was amazing, free to use as much we liked, owners came each morning (without disturbing us) and checked on chemical levels etc to ensure we got full use of it! On our first morning our hot water wasn't working (had been the night before) we phoned Byron and he came round straight away; they only live up the road! He had replaced the gas bottle that morning on his check up and sometimes it just needs a little encouragement, he sorted it right away for us and ensured we had everything we needed! Honestly couldnt of asked to of stayed in a better place or with better hosts! Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be visiting again soon!

We had a really pleasant stay at this property.
There were a few things however that did slightly affect our overall rating. The Bannister railings upstairs on the right were loose. That was a safety concern for us as we had to be careful not to hold onto a certain part of it .Particularly as we had a child. The upstairs bedroom windows didn't have any blinds or net curtains so the house opposite could see right in .This again was a privacy and modesty concern. The bath was not very deep therefore slightly uncomfortable in the bathroom . The small stool seat in the main bedroom near the dressing table was broken so you couldn't sit on it properly . The WiFi was unfortunately not a good coverage. We couldn't watch catch up TV properly or it would buffer alot whilst loading. These are all things that could be easily addressed though .We enjoyed our stay and the facilities overall were good. It was a cottage full of character in a beautiful area.

We had a really lovely time at Nyth Fach.
Gary and Jane were so friendly and helpful, helping us locate places we wanted to go and giving great suggestions. Jane also left us a cake when we arrived, and when we told her we couldn't eat it as we're vegan, she made us a special vegan version! Which was absolutely delicious. She also left us some homemade oat milk which we really appreciated. We weren't very lucky with the weather during our stay, but still did a lovely eight mile walk along the coastal path, and on rainy days it was a pleasure to light the fire and curl up on the sofa. The cottage is bursting with character and property, and we loved visiting all the animals. The goats in particular are so sweet â really friendly and always looked like they were smiling at us!

Cottage must be great in a spell of hot .
In June after a wet spell it was cold with the flagged floors and had a pervasive smell of damp. Owner said damp patches were due to the traditional lime wash inside. Log burner needed all the time as heating on timer controlled by main house apparently and was on for minimal time at night only. We were cold all the time we were in and resorted to blankets and hot water bottles. Under floor heating in kitchen and bathroom only. Despite this lots of black mould round base of shower. Place was well appointed on kitchen and bathroom. Very low ceilings were a hazard as was the steep staircase to the small mezzanine. Suit a young couple. A long way from pubs and facilities.
