  Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, very comfortable beds / sofa, and in a nice tasteful and modern decor.

  We had no need to meet with the owner, but communications with them via txt message were very helpful and very prompt. Should we have had any issues, i have no doubt they'd have been dealt with quickly. Situated on a quiet row of cabins, on the outer southern edge of Nawton, we found the cabin a great place for a break. Great views to the south over the fields. It was chosen for being more or less central to everywhere we had intended to visit - National Bird of Prey Centre, York, Lightwater Valley / Flamingo Land, Whitby, Scarborough, York Outlets, Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington etc. Everything within an hours drive, mainly on lovely country roads, the route past Castle Howard being particularly fun to drive along, and the drive over the moors to Whitby being very picturesque. Well equipped cabin with dishwasher, toaster, microwave, double oven / grill with hob, tall fridge freezer (lots of space in both - should you need freeze anything), shower, toilet (obviously!), 2 very comfortable double beds, smart TV (remember to log out of Netflix etc before you leave!), excellent wifi coverage as well - which can be a deal breaker for a lot of people (ourselves included) these days, so worthy of a mention. I sat outside on the decking watching MOTD whilst doing some star photography, with no loss of signal. It's more or less in "dark sky" country, which is great, assuming the weather stays clear. Very comfy sofa and swivel chair. Breakfast bar with stools and large patio table / chairs outside should you wish to dine out there, which we did a couple of times. Towels and bedding are provided, but if you need larger towels for a trip to the sea, or the nearby outdoor pool in Helmsley you'll need bring your own. Speaking of the outdoor pool - it's very popular and you'll need book well in advance - we left it too late and didn't get a slot - you'll need book online. Plenty space to park - enough room for 2 cars if needed, one either side of the cabin. There's a Co-Op in Helmsley, and another larger one in Kirkbymoorside, and an Lidl in Pickering. In Nawton we tried the Fusion Spice Indian restaurant which was excellent, and we had wanted to try the Fish & Chip shop but that was cash only, so we had to change our plans. There's a good play area next to the cricket ground right at the end of the street you turn into, should you have children - swings, assault course thing, zip wire etc - the usual things. They were playing cricket there early evening the 3 times we visited as well, should that be of interest. Welcome pack left out for us with sausage / bacon & eggs, chocolate cake, bottle of wine and soft drink for our daughter and some cartridges for the Nespresso machine. Enough to get you started, and a lovely gesture. Bird feeder on the decking is fun to watch whilst having breakfast. Overall a great cabin, in a great very quiet central (for us!) location.   We've now booked 6 properties for UK breaks via the Sykes website and No 37 is a 'deluxe 10* cottage', the finest and the best of all of them.

  The owners have restored No 37 with good taste (decor) and good quality fixutres and fittings, making it spacious, luxurious and comfortable for two guests to feel cozy and 'at home'. We slept so well on the luxury Feather and Black mattress and other quality bedding and pillows. We were spoilt by 2 x large screens tv's with all the apps, a Nespresso machine, an ice machine, a Smeg oven, lovely plates, and mugs, everything oozes quality and felt chosen with love by the owners. We knew our hosts would attend if needed, but the cottage ran itself perfectly. Step out of No 37 and you have Beverley on your doorstep so let your car rest and enjoy walking and exploring the historic streets. The Minster is a spectacular jewel, the Stray is a pleasure for a walk, and Beverley Beck has a peaceful footpath close by. A highlight was walking over the Humber Bridge, park your car in the bridge carpark, walk over and back, and each end has a cafe. There are excellent food shops in Beverley, we chose Vanessa for deli, and M&S for staples, and we ate at The Beverley Arms and the Woolpack pub. All the pies mash and gravy are homemade! Beverley also has an excellent Saturday market. The town is busy and feels very vibrant with a real heart. We can't wait to return. Thank you again to hosts Kim and Charlie.

  Beautiful little shepards hut, big enough for what we needed, very well equipped kitchenette and good size bathroom for the size of the hut. Very comfortable and lovely decor gave it a homely home from home feeling. Bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. Lovely setting for a holiday weekend away with my husband. Was brilliant to be able to sit on the terrace and listen to the wildlife at night and the views were breathtaking. Great to hear that this will be the only shepards hut on the field as it gives it a nice secluded and exclusive appeal to it. Both owners were friendly and welcoming and extremely helpful. Owners kindly invited us a long to a tai che session Sunday morning with was fantastic to be apart of and has given myself and my husband a new found hobby to take up together. Location of the hut was brilliant as it was only a very short drive to the Staithes village or an even shorter drive to a local pub. Would definitely come again x

  A perfect 4 night stay - just not long enough!

  ! No 37 is a beautifully furnished cottage with high quality equipment and spotlessly clean. The owners’ attention to detail have created a lovely place for rest and relaxation, ideal for a couple. It is ideally positioned to take advantage of the many diverse eateries and places to drink, and also places of interest, lots being within short walking distances. Beverley railway station is only a short walk from the cottage if you decide you want to explore further afield with links to Hull / Scarborough / York to name but a few. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the owners for handover of keys, a quick review of the property, and helpful recommendations of the local area. We really appreciated the tasty goodies that were kindly left for us too. The parking permit worked really well too- we found that we could always find a space close to the cottage.Thank you so much for our refreshing break. We will definitely visit again. David and Karin

  A wonderful little spot set in a beautiful valley. A fantastic glamping experience. The hut has everything that you need and more to have a comfortable stay, and the surrounds will keep you more than occupied - beach & coastal village down the road, walking through the valley on your doorstep, the moors just a few miles away. It is a great base to explore the National Park and further afield, equally you could have a very good time between the local pubs, Staithes and the hut as it is really well put together, so you can be nice and cosy in it, and the cooking facilities are more than adequate to rustle up a nice meal that you can enjoy on the decking and watch the house martins flit about the grass. If you're lucky you'll have a visit from other local wildlife, maybe a pheasant or two, a hare or even deer!
