What our customers say about their holidays

This was a perfect property for our needs.
All the rooms were of a good size and that includes the bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of everything so the use of the dishwasher is very economical. The lounge/diner had comfortable furniture and the substantial dining table was of a good size with comfortable chairs. Had the weather been a bit kinder we would have used the outside space for relaxing and dining in the evenings as the furniture provided was excellent. The location was ideal for us with nothing too far away and Whitstable is in easy walking distance even for our two young grand children. The Rose in Bloom pub/restaurant is a 10min walk and worth a visit either for a drink or tasty meal. The local beaches at Seasalter and Whitstable are nothing special so it is worth the 30 mins drive to sandy Minnis Bay (Birchington) where parking is free along the promenade plus there are the usual facilities such as toilets, restaurants, cafes and other types of food and drink outlets. It is worth checking tide times beforehand though as high tide does reach the prom walls. The owner Jo was lovely and very welcoming and keeps the property in excellent condition and we are already making plans to return there at some stage in the future.

Very nice recently refurbished apartment.
The welcome pack was a lovely touch. It was a shame that the communal entrance to the building was unwelcoming with creaking stairs all the way up and in the apartment. The lower bathroom had no shower curtain so we could not use the handheld shower over the bath without flooding and damaging the bathroom. All 5 adults and 1 child ended up using the upper floor bathroom shower. The lock in this bathroom did not work. The trundle bed was more suitable for children than adults. On bin collection day (Wednesday) we had to put the wheely bins and recycling box onto the pavement by 7 am and then take them back after they were emptied. (Even then the recycling box was not completely emptied - only our stuff which were in bags were taken).

The furniture was comfortable, with very good beds and chairs and garden furniture, and the sitting room and garden were spacious.
It was good to be so near the beach, and there were wonderful nearby walks. The kitchen was equipped with a good supply of plates and cutlery, but only one bowl of any kind. The shower, rather than a pleasant start to the day, was a daily battle to get water that wasn't far too hot. Some years ago I gave up taking salt and pepper to cottage holidays, since we always found it supplied, but here there was none, necessitating a quick dash to the - convenient and very well-stocked - nearby shop, before we could make our evening meal on arrival. Information about the area would have been welcome. A shame about the slow wifi which meant my son had to return to London sooner than planned - he could not work using it.

We had a lovely break and in hot weather.
As such to have the outdoor comfortable space and the sea so near (3-4 minute walk) was great. We didnât do a great deal of cooking but kitchen suited us. Thereâs no bath in bathroom but again that suited us and all very straightforward, clean and modern. The host, Jo, was lovely, very responsive and keen to ensure our stay was a good one. Would have liked to have had more details on whatâa around locally and things to do. We were genuinely surprised (delighted) to find the sea so close! Worth noting that we didnât use our car much at all, which was great, decent shop (Co-op) and pub in walking distance and we also walked along the coast to Whitstable (25-30 mins) which was gorgeous.

A beautiful place to stay.
Clean warm and everything we needed. All instructions for a white goods were laminated and easy to follow. We even had a phone call the day before we went telling us that the door is now keycoded, how did we want the beds made up. She left us her phone number. We were lucky with the weather able to get out and about and explore the area. Found some wonderful country pubs for lunch. Everybody we met were very friendly. The garden was amazing shame it wasnât quite warm enough to make full use of it. The only slight thing is broadband speed a bit slow but that didnât spoil our holiday in anyway. We most definitely enjoyed the area. Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your home.
