What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely cottage with pretty much all you need for a holiday.
The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, utensils and cooking equipment. A compact dishwasher was very useful. The mezzanine sleeping area is spacious with good lighting and the bed us comfortable. There is not sufficient storage for clothing and there is ample room for a chest of drawers, which would be very beneficial. We resorted to storing clothing on the floor of the cupboard under the stairs. The sofa is not particularly comfortable; the leather cushion covers are slippery and not supportive. The bathroom is large and features a large walk in shower with a good flow from the head. The free-standing bath is good looking but impractical as it is effectively too long and the ends far too narrow to sit or lie comfortably in. The WiFi was nonexistent during our stay and two calls to the Agent failed to resolve that. Mobile reception was poor, making it impractical to rely upon in the absence of WiFi.

The cottage was excellent as a base for visiting the coastal towns and villages, as well as a lovely place to come to at the end of the day.
The living room felt spacious and if there is a cold evening weâd recommend the wood burner for extra coziness, though the electric heating is very efficient. We like cooking and the cottage had one of the most well-equipped kitchens I have ever seen - we didnât have to use any of the utensils we brought with us. We cooked every night so it was great to have the dishwasher. The decor was modern but comfortable with interesting antique and vintage pieces. Iâd imagine the cottage would also be perfect for a family as the kids can be in their room at one end of the living room, giving the adults a bit of space at the other end. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the local milk, eggs, bread and butter provided. We met Glenys briefly who was friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay here again if we had another holiday in the area.

I would just like to say how nice River View was. The apartment had everything you need for a good holiday. It was well situated for touring around Suffolk - we stayed at Peasenhall last year but still found lots more places to visit this year including Beth Chattos garden in Essex. The apartment was very stylishly decorated and furnished and had fabulous views down to the estuary and marshes. We were lucky that the weather was so nice while we were there and enjoyed being able to sit in the front garden and relax with a book and a drink in the sunshine. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and we much appreciated the fact that we were able to access the apartment when we arrived after our overnight drive down from Cumbria. We would definitely recommend River View to our friends.

This cottage is a superb little private gem!
Good location to visit what Suffolk has to offer, perfect hosts who care for their guests. Peace and quiet for a relaxing stay. Kitchen has everything you need for a self catering break away, the level of kitchen equipment is over and beyond luxury - the batchroom is superb, walk in shower and all catered for - again over and beyond usual self catering breaks, The bedroom has everything required with good quality feather and down pillows and duvet. Living room/dining room has excellent comfortable facilities. We have never stayed anywhere in many years of self catering that the hosts have not thought of - even down to bread, butter, eggs and milk left for guests. The courtyard is completely private to use - cannot praise this excellent cottage enough. We shall definately be returning.
