  Berlin house was a lovely house in Tenby.

  The facilities in the property were excellent. The location was great too. However this was advertised as a family holiday let and unfortunately it is not suited to families with small children or indeed anyone who likes a peaceful nights sleep. Being in town I had expected there to be noise from the street and noise in the evening from public houses. What I didn’t expect was a full on nightclub experience whilst in the property. On 2 nights during the stay music was being played from 11pm until 2 am and it was so loud that there was no way of getting to sleep or if you were asleep when it started it soon woke you up. The only saving grace is that the children’s room was not effected as much as the rest of the house. We left a day early as I couldn’t cope with another night of the noise. It was unusual not to be able to control the temperature in the house and you had to message the owner to get it adjusted, being October it was quite cold and the lounge was generally quite cool. I also thought it was unacceptable to expect holiday makers to take their general waste home with them, we travelled 150 miles and when packing had to find room for waste. Lovely well kept property just not suitable for families.

  Huw the owner is a very nice guy and accommodating.

  On the whole the flat is in a great place for walks on the beaches with the dog (pre accessibility limits) and the views are fantastic. I don’t want to be picky, however, there are a few issues with the flat, 1/ living room door, the bottom hinge is not fixed to the frame and can’t be closed. 2/ the carpet in the living room needs to be fixed down. 3/ the living room windows need to be looked at so they can be opened without difficulty. 4/ the bedrooms have an issue with noise from outside, now it’s not the fault of the owner (they have no influence on it) but if secondary glassing was fitted it would reduce the noise. 5/ there is no control over the central heating and you can’t turn it off. 6/ the dining chairs need to be cleaned (stained). 7/ the shower head is too big and this affects the pressure (bit like being in a light rain). These issues can be fixed simply.

  Lovely welcome pack of milk, Prosecco, cake, tea, coffee etc.

  even dog biscuits ! Beautiful apartment, everything you need/want. All toiletries provided. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Great location for walking around town, beach 2 minutes away. We didn’t have to use the car at all for the duration of our stay. The only negatives were the sorting of the waste, which was a bit of a faff, and no parking space, parking is an extra £30 a week at a nearby multi storey car park. As the front door is on a narrow road in a shopping area we timed our arrival and luggage drop off after the shops closed when it wasn’t so crowded. Likewise when we left, the night before we we due to, when shops were closed and quieter for loading up. All in all Tenby is a lovely place and well worth the visit.

  We have stayed in this property a few times in the past 8yrs and although there has been no obvious changes and we noticed its looking a little tired it is still a comfortable apartment.

  Its a great location based in Tudor square with a wonderful sea view out the back. The stairway to the flat looks awful but dont let that put you off. It desperately needs a hand rail on the stairs so anyone with mobility issues will need help. We had a little issue with the heating this time but although I had to call them late afternoon on a Sunday the call was answered promptly and someone sent out to fix it immediately, I cant fault that. The apartment was spotless on arrival and although we were left some milk and welsh cakes we would of appreciated toilet roll more but I think this was an over sight. We do stay in some beautiful places in Tenby, as we visit often, and wouldnt hesitate to stay in Gower View again.

  We loved the flat and the view was really amazing.

  There were a couple of points which were not so great, mainly that the secondary glazing was not effective so there was constant cold air coming through the bay window. This made the flat quite cold, specially as the heating went off for a large part of the day. I think this is not really acceptable in November for a holiday let. The flat was also quite noisy as there was a party upstairs who came home quite late and made quite a lot of noise on the Friday night. This was not a major issue, but may also relate to slightly inadequate sealing of windows, etc. The location and setting of the flat are really exceptional and did make up for these slight inconveniences.
