The cottage was very lovely, spacious and comfortable and in a very convenient location for our needs.
It was great to find some fresh supplies (tea, coffee, seasonings, milk, etc. and other plentiful supplies like washing powder, dish washing liquid and tablets, toilet paper, various kitchen papers, etc. Most holiday cottages provide only 'starter' amounts of these or none at all, and it's such a boon for holiday makers to discover all they need so they don't have to go searching for shops at awkward arrival times. I highly recommend this cottage.

Such a lovely house.
We loved the views, the space, the comfortable rooms and numerous bathrooms! When the weather wasn't so good we were happy to relax at the house and it was great to have a supply of board and games and books. When the weather improved there were lots of lovely places to explore, especially Benmore Botanic Gardens, Puck's Glen and Kilbride Beach. We thought midges might be a problem but they weren't.

Branter Lodge is a lovely house set amongst beautiful scenery in a great part of Scotland.
The house was immaculate, looks exactly as it does in the pictures and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner Ian was also very helpful and contacted us prior to our journey to inform us about the Rest and be Thankful being closed and gave us a very precise, alternative route which thrilled the kids as it involved a ferry ride. I can definitely recommend a stay at Branter Lodge.

Our group (7 adults and 1 dog) had a lovely stay at Branter lodge.
Very clean and comfortable accommodation, great views as shown in the photos. It was useful to have outdoor storage for a bike. Our only minor criticism is that there wasn't enough seating for us all in the main lounge (would have been nice on the odd occasion), but otherwise it's a fantastic house in a lovely area of Scotland and we would recommend.
