What our customers say about their holidays
Judith - Verified booking
When we arrived at the Cottage we found the second toilet area closed off.
We brought this up with yourselves and you contacted the owner and they brought the key and unlocked it. It obviously hadn't been used for sometime as it had not been cleaned and had cobwebs all around. We booked this cottage purely because it had two toilets as advertised on your site. This should be corrected for future holiday makers. The whole cottage needs some love and care, the cottage had not been cleaned at all. The cleaner had not cleaned the property before we arrived and had to come in the next day to clean the cottage, but they did not wash the floors in the kitchen/diner or in the bathroom or wash the bath out. We had already said that we had found toothpaste all on the shelf in the bathroom and there were cobwebs around the sink pedestal. The cloth on the table hadn't been wiped as we found ketchup marks on it. The fridges hadnt been cleaned as the one in the kitchen had an earwig in the door and was not wiped out properly and the one in the back utility room had not been wiped out and one shelf had been removed from the fridge and had cobwebs and was very dirty. The cupboards had cobwebs in the kitchen was in disarray. The plates and crockery was all over the place. The kick board on the base units were falling down. The extractor fan was really dirty which the cleaner did wipe but it did not work at all. We didn't even have a potatoe peeler but the owners very kindly brought one up for us. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the cottage and the electrical appliances had not been PAT tested this year they are out of date. I have another holiday booked with yourselves but I'm worried that we will have the same problems with our next cottage we have booked for next year. Do you not do send anyone to check on your cottages to see that they are in a good state of repair and fit for purpose.

Beautiful property, perfect for exploring Anglesey!
Handy being so close to Newbourgh Beach and Menai Bridge. The property layout is fantastic and could easily facilitate 2 families, a lot bigger from the photos. Plenty of books, dvds, games for all the family and a well informed guide for the house and the area. There are lamas and horses just down the road, we took a litter picker with us, perfect for little legs, and a great circular walk round Newbourgh Warren. We enjoyed our morning coffees in the conservatory, staring at the perfect view of the snow topped ranges and the straits. Monranned was kept toasty at a perfect 21C, it was the first time I have visited a property that restricted access to temp control and was alittle hesitant, however understandable given the cost of living at the moment. The fires at the property were a great feature and we were given all wood, firefighters ect, which the children enjoyed marshmallows on in the evening. We would return as we visit family on the Island and would recommend to anyone visiting, the only minor critic I would have in regards to this property is its lack of kitchen cleaning supplies, i.e. kitchen spray, sponges, cloths just to clean the kitchen. However, this would not stop us visiting again as it was spotless, we just know to add spray ect onto the Tesco order. Thanks for a great stay!

Hi!, Our holiday was great fun and , Capel Hermon the cottage its self was very nice, but the cleanliness has a lot to be desired.
The kitchen utensil drawer had human hairs in, which we had to clean out and, wash all utensil. The oven is absolutely covered in burnt on fat. the kitchen cupboards doors were dirty, which had to be cleaned before I could use them. someone had spilled coffee all down the washing machine door and the flour and boards were all sticky and, it meant you were sticking to the floor. Which I cleaned. In the bedrooms cobwebs full of dust were hanging from the ceiling, which I had to clean off before getting in to bed. the walls were all dusty which had to be cleaned. I could go on and on. It was such a shame, it needed a really good deep clean, it looked like it had not been cleaned in a while, We also had issue with the hot water, upstairs in the two bathrooms, you could not have a hot shower, it ran hot and cold, you could definitely not use the bath, because we couldn't get hot water. I am sorry but it was for me unacceptable. The property itself could be beautiful, if it was a beautiful place, but I do not expect to clean the property before we start our holiday, also the quilts inside the quilt covers had blood stains on them. but we did enjoy our stay, but it was disappointing. I am sorry but I think I did need to say something.

I wanted to take the family for a mid-summer weekâs break to Anglesey to show them the places that I liked â Trearddur Bay, South Stack, Newborough Forest so I needed a location/place that fitted, and Capel Hermon (CH) did the job perfectly.
Arrival (and departure) was easy. Tesco shop arrived, got more provisions from Anglesey Fine Foods in Valley (very nearby) and we were ready to relax. CH is spacious and comfortable for 4 adults, 2 little fellas, aged 5 years and 9 months, plus a dog that loved walks. The living area was fantastic, especially when we had 2 adult visitors and for the littlest to practice his crawling. The dining room table allowed us all to sit comfortably. Son in law managed to find time to read 2 books from the many in âCHâs libraryâ. This was a bonus because the weather wasnât brilliant, and we could do lots indoors. All the beds in the 3 bedrooms were comfortable and sleeping was easy. Found more places at Rhosneigr and Tywyn Mawr â Sandy Beach â excellent for dog walking. (Enclosed garden was also secure to let the dog out). A lovely holiday. Hope you like the gnome we left behind as a huge thank you!

Spacious, well maintained, well equipped & warm, cosy house.
Lots of throws & blankets for extra cosiness (not needed as lovely & warm). Easy to light fire in lounge with extra wood in garden storage. 2 showers, the electric 1 upstairs nice & hot. A thoughtful welcome pack a nice touch. The bed was so comfy & large with soft linen. Loads of storage in all rooms. Loved the conservatory, so comfy, warm & light, easier to use this entrance instead of front door, especially with sandy & muddy boots & the dog, spent lots of time there. We didn't use the snug, (as only 2 of us & no kids) but again was a lovely room with games & extra TV. The washing machine came in handy when we returned from walks, wet & muddy. Owner answered a question within 5 mins of sending text & very accommodating. Friendly local pub (but no cask ales or ciders). Loads of walks straight from the door. We had an extremely windy visit but didn't hinder our enjoyment. Would love to return.
