  We stayed for 1 week over the may half term.

  Cobweb corner is a cute little cottage full of character and charm! Tony who owns it lives in the larger adjoining cottage door with his lovely dog Otto. Tony was so friendly and accommodating and was so good (as was otto) with our daughter. He is full of local knowledge, places to visit, pubs to eat at etc. Our daughter loved the attic play room and having a quiet hide away space to chill out in. Beds were comfy and we slept so well after long days on the beach. Full digital TV package to catch up on programmes or chill out with a film night. Never ran out of hot water with us all showering every night to get rid of the sand. There's no oven but a clean and easy to use air fryer, electric touch hob and microwave was fine to cook a variety of meals! A shop next door (expensive) but very useful for grabbing essentials or a bottle of wine and only a 10 minute stroll to the local beach which is beautiful. If there's anything you need just ask Tony and he'll help or point you in the right direction! We have previously stayed at Trecco bay caravan site (round the corner) but much preferred Cob Webb corner for a more chilled out and relaxed holiday away from the hustle and bustle of it all!!

  It’s definitely the nicest holiday home we have ever stayed in , it’s new and beautifully finished with a lovely kitchen and light airy open living space.

  The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are immaculate . There are two seating areas on the terraces and we caught some sun having a coffee. We took our two little dogs and the lodge is quiet and peaceful in the evening but close to everything. Locally, you can walk to a Onestop shop and pubs ( 10 mins walk ) and there is a station in Newbridge for a train to Cardiff. If you want to explore we went to Caerleon ( Roman Amphitheatre ) and had great food there at the Hanbury Arms ( they are super dog friendly! ) Abergavenny and Usk have places to eat and shopping with lots of independent businesses. All are worth a visit and very close to the lodge is Cwmcarn Forest - which has varied walks and bike rides - the views were spectacular and there’s info at the Forest Park Centre. We had a lovely break in the Lodge really enjoyed our week there , I’d definitely go again.

  What a gorgeous place!

  This new, purpose built, modern, Italian styled Lodge is finished with high quality fittings and equipment inside and out. The Lodge is absolutely immaculate, bright and airy, with a vaulted ceiling and velux windows in the open plan living and kitchen area. The whole place is well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great to have a shower room as well as an en suite shower, both equipped with rain showers and the tallest, hottest towel rails we've ever seen - lovely during our stay in December! The garden area is fully paved and includes a lot of thoughtful touches such as an outside tap for washing bikes, security lighting, and seating. The owner lives next door. He gave us genuine warm and friendly welcome and helped out with everything we asked about. We have been really pleased with our stay and plan to return for longer next year.

  Cobweb Corner – a great name for a really great little holiday cottage!

  ! Nestled right in the heart of Newton village we spent 5 lovely days in this warm cosy cottage that was full of character and ‘olde-worlde’ charm. Tony made us feel really welcome when we arrived, gave us all the information we needed, showed us round, and was on hand just next door if we wanted anything. The bed was really comfy, nice bathroom, cosy lounge, seating indoors and out, and very tidy, just what we wanted. Location is incredible, only 2 minutes’ walk to the village green, church, pub, and places of interest, and 5 minutes from the wonderful beach. Tony shared all his local knowledge, gave fantastic insights into the 400-year history of the cottage, and added some thoughtful little touches to our stay.   Well thought out comfortable cozy warm place.

  Quiet peaceful. Also very practical with dogs. When the rain came dogs not bringing in muck. Loved the terraces and outlook. Loved some of the gadgets so much so must get a pendant lamp brilliant. In a great location to visit some beautiful places. Lovely walks with the dogs. Good to have off-road parking . Adequate for one big car found it more practical reversing in . Slight issue Sykes couldn't help. Rang Roberto the owner unbeknown to us he was in Italy on holiday. He was still very helpful and pleasant. Even texted us to have a safe journey home etc. Had an enjoyable stay.Would visit again. Sue and Paul Marsden
