  I was a little worried after reading the last review, however it could not have been further from the truth!

  We found it to be spotless, comfortable and very well equipped . Everything was excellent quality, furniture was good quality and very comfy sofas ( we had our own sofa blanket for the dog but blankets were supplied ) . Clearly time and effort has been invested in this lodge to make it so comfortable. It looks like the outside of the lodge has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we had a lovely evening sitting outside the lodge on a quiet still evening. Beds were really good. comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. It's a very nice quiet clean park. It is a great base for seeing the local area. Having been in hospitality for years my baseline is always whether or not I would stay again, and I would absolutely stay here again, really enjoyed our stay! Well situated to enjoy the local attractions, A must is an afternoon at Clovelly which is a half hour drive. The National Trust Sandymouth Bay Beach is two miles away , we went there every morning with our dog who loved the rock pools as we enjoyed a coffee overlooking the bay . Live music at Crooklets Beach Bar in Bude and dinner in the local village pub close to the park (Kilkhampton ) , perfect end to a perfect stay. We will be back !

  Most relaxing week I have ever had on holiday! Beautiful setting and so peaceful. The Owners have thought of everything, there was nothing we didn’t have for a self catering holiday. The property was spotless on arrival. The bonus was having an hour slot for your family in the swimming pool all to yourselves what a fantastic idea, especially as we had a baby who is just getting use to the water. My son & daughter-in-law enjoy playing tennis and table tennis in the games room. My husband and I had few games of pool 50p Per game very reasonable. There were washing facilities which are useful, but we didn’t have to use but excellent addition for families with little ones. Lovely little play park for the kids too. We didn’t fish but could see others that were enjoying relaxing around the lakes. Thank you for a wonderful week the only downside was the weather which wasn’t great, but this didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves and visiting Bude’s beautiful beach. We ate at the Olive Tree a couple of times and the food was delicious its very good value and staff and service 100%

  Lamberal was such a lovely lodge, with beautiful views of the lakes. We were thrilled with our surroundings and enjoyed walking around the lakeside paths and out into the countryside, where Tamar lakes were within easy reach. All of our family of four (inluding one teenage and one younger daughter - and a dog, too), enjoyed the peace and tranquility. The lodge provided ample space for our small family. Our sporty kids were well catered for. We all loved a daily pre-booked swim on our own as a family, as well as making great use of the games room, tennis court and play park. We were in easy reach, by car, of stunning beaches both north and south of Bude. The guest information proved invaluable in planning out some brilliant day trips, with Clovelly proving to be a charming harbour village, almost lost in time. The site was beautifully kept and so well organised that we didn't need to contact our hosts at any point. We want to take this opportunity to thank them for providing us with such a fantastic holiday experience, which we will highly recommend. A wonderful stay - thanks loads...

  Spotlessly clean, and really comfortable stay!

  We would definitely stay again. As per the last review, there was a sea view that was not mentioned, which was a lovely surprise and that we enjoyed in evening with a glass of wine! The Lodge itself seems to have had some new additions from the pictures on the website when we originally booked. Very comfortable, the new owners have clearly spent some time and effort with new blinds, bedding etc….. bathroom has been re vamped since the last pictures which again was a nice surprise. The kitchen is very well equipped, with more than just four of everything!!! Location is great, really easy to walk into village for food, supermarket and pub. We missed the opening of the new pub on-site , but looking forward to visiting when we return. You can even get the bus into Bude. We loved Sandymouth Beach , which is less than a ten minute drive and has a lovely café overlooking the bay. It is also dog friendly all year round with no restrictions! Overall, we loved the lodge, loved the area, brilliant value for money and we will be back!

  Short concrete path leads directly from car park to the property.

  I have had back trouble in the past so really appreciated the orthopaedic mattress - so much so that I have taken its details and have ordered one for mysellf, The owners obviously take pride in providing everything a guest could wish for. Cupboards/drawers full of books, games videos etc for if weather is bad (luckily we didn’t need them). Every conceivable kitchen implement was there including Tupperware boxes to make a picnic if desired. Towels were the softest we have ever felt and smelt like summer - name of fabric conditioner please. Cottage very clean with enough cloths and comprehensive cleaning materials to clean a medium sized hotel. All we needed to bring on holiday were our clothes and toiletries- everything else was well provided for. Well located near Bude and beaches. Comfortable stay for two people using second bedroom as storage for suitcases etc. Might be a bit snug for family if four. All in all would book this dog friendly cottage in future
