Superb Norfolk Stay. We arrived after a long 12 hour journey from Scotland with 2 young dogs during the most horrific thunderstorm the cottage down the lane was certainly a welcome sight. The small hamper waiting for us was very thoughtful especially the much needed bottle of wine after our long day on the road.The cottage was extremely comfortable had a rustic cosy and homely feel to it and although very compact it was well equipped with everything we needed for our week's stay and the dogs loved the sunny rear garden. The location was perfect for the local dog friendly pub and nearest beach both within walking distance, also great for exploring the quaint villages along the coast by car. We had a wonderful and unforgettable holiday in Norfolk and would hope to return one day in the future.

South Lodge was nicely furnished, comfortable and well equiped, with a pretty garden and garden room. We enjoyed staying there but the Lodge is situated on a busy road junction and noisy traffic is constant for almost 24hrs a day! Windows cannot be left open at night for fresh air and siting in the lovely garden is spoiled by the noise. Also, the access point is close to the junction and dangerous. We were almost rammed several times. This feature of the property is not mentioned in the advertising material. The property information literature instructs visitors to leave by 9am so, to avoid an early morning rush, we decided to leave the day before. Whilst leaving, we received a text from you advising that we should leave by 10am !!!!!!

This is the nicest holiday cottage we have ever stayed in - it is beautiful with an amazing garden. The owners have thought of everything and there is nothing you will need that you will not find. Also in an ideal location with a woodland walk, a park and the beach all within walking distance. A real touch of luxury with a warm homely feel and everything there is of really good quality ( fixtures and fittings, soft furnishings and furniture etc ) A really thoughtful welcome pack including treats for the dog was a nice find on arrival too. A little Gem in North Norfolk. A very pleasant stay. The welcome pack was a very nice touch. The cottage was very cosy, thank goodness for the wood burner as we encountered some extremely bad weather during our stay. One early evening on a particularly cold night a representative brought us a heater, this gesture was was very much appreciated and showed a high level of customer service, as did the fact we were able to gain access earlier on the day of arrival. Unfortunately, we decided to leave a day earlier due to the adverse weather conditions. A cosy, well equipped dog-friendly cottage in a very nice location. Thank you.

Our second stay at the old smithy and it was as pleasant as the first. Great to have the wood burner on every evening real class. Our two dogs love it as much as we do. Great walks all around and within a short driving distance. The local pub is a very friendly cosy place that does great food and welcomes the dogs and it is one of the cheapest around the area. The kitchen has everything you need for self catering. We love the old smithy so much we booked for next year while we were staying there. One last thing the new stable door leading to the rear garden is an absolute bonus. Thanks for haning us.
