  Stayed here for eight days. There was fresh bread, eggs, milk, local apple juice and cakes on our arrival, placed there by the owners (who are very nice). The property is spotlessly clean: we had no concerns re Covid in this respect. The equipment such as fridge/freezer, oven, washing machine etc are all in excellent condition, as are the utensils. The bed is very comfortable and we both slept very well here. The local pub is just a short walk away; food is good we ate there 3 times. The Three Legged Brewery is also an easy walk and a must for the beer-lover. The location is very handy for visiting (by car) several National Trust properties and a short drive (6 miles) to Rye. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

  We arrived at the cottage to a lovely welcome from the owners, Sarah and Graham. They introduced themselves and were available if we needed extra information etc but closed the gate separating their house from the barn and our area was totally private. Doves Barn was extremely well equipped to a high standard and always very comfortable and cosy to return at the end of each day. It is an excellent base and easily accessible to the coast, a wide range of National Trust and English Heritage properties, particularly Battle Abbey and historic towns such as Rye. One of the best cottages we have stayed in.

  Beautiful Barn, tastefully finished. Our dog loved the garden and paddock. Fantastic location we visited, Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle, Rye, Camber Castle, (including the fat fish hut) Romney Marshes, Small hythe, Battle Abbey, Batemans, Hastings Country Park and Sissinghurst Castle - Chartwell and Quebec House on the way back. Fab Finds: Fish hut, The Old Grain Store-Rye, and Bluebells Battle. Thank you for the helpful touches on arrival, tasty cake and dog accessories.   Excellent cottage, we're very proud to be the very first guests at this beautiful barn. A very pretty cottage and tastefully decorated. Nice surprises in the fridge ! We visited the beautiful old town of Rye, the stunning landscape of the Seven Sisters and had nice walks. Excellent bakery round the corner, very friendly host, beautiful area. What a treat! If we ever get a chance to return to this beautiful part of England, we will book to stay here again! Thank you very much

  Dove cottage is a lovely cosy place to stay with a beautiful drive. There are lots of beautiful walks nearby and places to visit. We particularly recommend the Red Lion pub. It’s about a mile to walk and the food and hosts were welcoming and excellent!/delicious! The Dove hosts were extremely welcoming and the welcome package great-especially the cakes! Bed very comfortable with a lovely view to wake up too. Highly recommend
