What our customers say about their holidays

We spent a lovely week away at the paddock.
Very clean, and it had everything we needed for a week break. The paddock has so much character and the fire place made it feel very cosy on a night. Travel cot and high chair was up ready for our little one when we got there, which was really helpful and saved us taking our own. Also, the cake Pam left us on arrival went down a treat, thank you! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including the dog. He loved the big lawn, and spent most of his time outside. And there is some great routes to walk around the area. Lots to do in the area. I would definitely recommend Rand Park farm to anyone with young children, thereâs so much to do there, we spent a full day there! I would also recommend Adam and Eve pub in Wragby, 5 min drive away and the food is lovely. Only downfall in East Barkwith is the local pub is only open thurs/Fri/sat but I suppose that is expected with it been such a remote area. So we didnât end up to visiting, but Adam and Eve is only a short drive away. Also, side note: CHECK WARDROBES BEFORE YOU LEAVE. I was stupid enough to leave my clothes in the wardrobe, but thankfully Pam was very quick to reply and send them back to me :) Overall a great stay at The Paddock and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a little break away in the countryside :) Thank you!

From The Netherlands we wished to visit the Lincoln area.
We booked quite late in the holiday season and expected not to find a quality cottage. However.....we found this: Pat's cottage (old rectory annexe). This was over our expectations! The room was very clean, the cottage very roomy offering that good kitchen (3 stoves!!), that large living room and the very large bathroom with shower and bath plus the very goodsized bedroom and bed. Everything looked new or newish, definitely no poor or damaged materials and inside the cottage there was very much daylight. Yes we were very happy with the cottage. Also happy we were with the owners. They are very kind and helpfull, they do communicate very well, they advise very good, and we felt very free to do whatever we wished there. The cottages plot is very green and very quiet with lots of unexpected birds and animals that have their habitat in the area. Yes, this was very, very good and much better than wehad expected! So can we advise? YES........YES OF COURSE! Loes and Ton Kramer from Zaandam, Netherlands.

A Barn Conversion Gem.
We loved our stay, the property itself was a stunning blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The glass spiral staircase was a unique and eye catching feature that perfectly complemented the barn's original character. The property was spotless, spacious and so so comfortable. The interior design was impeccable with attention to detail in every corner which made it a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding countryside. The garden complete with a wildlife pound was a lovely place to sit and relax with a morning coffee. We had the gorgeous farm cats visit occasionally and they were ever so sweet. The owners ensured we had a great stay even proving a lovely welcome pack which included wine and chocolate. Overall our stay was a fantastic experience we couldn't fault it. The comfortable accommodation and thoughtful amenities made it a perfect place to escape and recharge; a little piece of heaven. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

We loved the house, most unusual and very commodious.
A little bit dark and reading light in the sitting room was needed. The general lighting gave a very pleasing effect, however. Direction and signage to the house was poor. The vast double bed needs to be highlighted in the details as being super-king size (most welcome) but the pillows could be greatly improved, all rather hard and non-supportive. Our contact with the owners over one or two small queries was most pleasantly dealt with. Some instruction over use of the TV would have been appreciated. The kitchen was very well provided for, so many cupboards we almost forget where we'd put things. Brilliant for dog walks immediately from the house. All in all, The Paddock is one of the best houses we have ever stayed in and very happy to return again. The cake was delicious and perfect in every way!!! The tourist information in the house was extremely comprehensive with a lovely collection of OS maps including one centred on The Paddock. Thank you to the Carrs. Richard & Bridget

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Pat's Cottage.
Dream accommodation! Everything we could possibly want - property was spacious, clean, lovely decor, wonderful bathroom, kitchen facilities. The owners were super friendly very kind and welcoming and bent over backwards to be helpful with anything we wanted. We'd like to visit again if/when opportunity arises - Lovely part of Lincolnshire too - peaceful surroundings, large garden, lawns, landscape etc [ only one minor comment, and we've made this known to owners, that on arrival one doesn't at first realise that Pat's Cottage sits BEHIND the Old Rectory....you can't see it when you drive in at the entrance, so we think it could do with some sort of signage, visible from the gravel drive when you arrive by car - such as an arrow pointing to the cottage on the end of the garage block, though not on the front gate of driveway, as owners concerned about security and privacy ]
