  We both really enjoyed our stay at 1 Easton Barn.

  We were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the property was and it immediately felt like home. The property is very well situated. Its a short drive from various beaches like Challaborough Bay, Wonwell Beach, Bantham, Burgh Island etc. Up the road is St Annes Chapel which stocks your essential and last minute items and Kingsbridge is not too far should you need to visit a larger supermarket. There was a review somewhere which commented on the noise from the pool table below and it was audible from the room, however it didn't cause us any issues. The garden area is well kept with a small summer house, inside which is a BBQ and spare charcoal we could use if needed. Bathroom facilities were good enough. I've used far worse showers! Bedroom has ample storage and plug sockets. Living room was comfortable with plenty of board games for rainy evenings and the house in general was warm. Kitchen was better equipped than my one at home. No shortage of plates, bowls, saucepans, cutlery, utensils etc. In the spirit of a fair review, There were some areas of the house that could have used a wipe, so we just did it ourselves. Overall, I didn't expect this property to be as clean as it was given the age and type of building it is so I don't feel rating its cleanliness any lower than full marks would be justified. Lastly, we would like to thank the hosts for having us. The check in process was super easy, the property was good value for money and we genuinely look forward to staying again.   My wife and I paid a very brief visit to the area on a family matter, so not really a holiday, what a superb property, so comfortable, clean and well appointed.

  We met the owners (the rental property is attached to their home) they were very friendly and welcoming. As far as my wife and I could ascertain the description of the property on Sykes' website was spot on. The whole property is so well fitted out to a high, modern standard, stunningly clean and well decorated, we have stayed in very few better appointed holiday lets during the last 50-years, we thoroughly recommend it. There are just a couple of minor points that we felt were worth considering, they most certainly are not criticisms, but may help future visitors. Firstly, Rondeval is on quite a long road and all properties have names not house numbers, Sykes' documentation simply states that the Postcode will lead to the property, it did, but we had to look carefully at each house name as we drove along the road, so it may help if more detailed instructions are given to help find the house, especially after dark. Secondly, my wife and I are not in the first flush of youth and I have mobility problems so we were concerned about the shower, we felt that a non-slip mat in the shower could be advantageous, it would alleviate the worry of slipping for the more infirm guests. Superb, we wish that we could have extended our stay.

  This a beautiful property that is warm, comfortable and well equipped. The views are lovely and it’s great to be so central to town and all its amenities. It was a treat to have The White Company products in the bathroom, and we loved the electric fireplace and cosy blankets - great for an October visit! It would have been the cherry on the cake to have a welcome pack with a some milk/essentials on arrival. We had a lovely few days there and enjoyed visiting Hope Cove, took the foot ferry to Mill Bay and walked along to Gara Rock - a lovely 3/4 mile walk. Also did a (hilly!) 5 mile run to Snapes Point, with nice views. Visited Burgh Island, Bigbury Beach, Bantham Beach and South Milton Sands - all well worth a visit! Went to The Victoria Inn for a good meal (you do need to book as it does get busy) and of course fish and chips! It can get a little noisy with the pub, upstairs guests and bin men, but that aside it was a lovely restful break! Thank you!

  Well what can I say.

  This caravan is a the top of the park and is on the steepest roadway I have seen. Totally unsuitable for the elderly or families with small children. The gas was empty so having spoken to the owner I was directed to get the site maintenance to check it out. They did so and replaced the gas bottles. I also asked them to look at the TV in the living room that wasn’t picking up the sat channels and they couldn’t fathom out the problem. The owner said that I must have been pressing the wrong buttons. I think there were other issues that she is not owning up to. The caravan is a bit small. Ok for a you family I suppose but no good for us. The Wi-Fi was chargeable from the site, not mentioned in the Ad. About £6 a day for anything usable. There was a good power shower and the decking was fully enclosed so safe for our small dog. All in All, for us a total waist of money. We left after one night and the owner blamed us for our concerns.

  We really enjoyed our time at Easton Barn.

  Located in a very beautiful setting. A vast improvement from our last booking with Sykes. Very clean and everything there you needed for a comfortable stay. We met the owner when we arrived who was very pleasant and helpful giving us good information about lovely local walks and places to visit. If you walked to the top of the garden which was quite large you could see all the beautiful countryside around you. Our Dog loved running round the lovely enclosed garden, which also had a summer house. You could also make use of the Barbecue. Well situated for trips around the South Devon Countryside and coastal regions. Bigbury on Sea just down the road. Had a lovely day in Dartmoor National Park and finished off the day with Fish and chips in Brixham on Friday before going home via Kingsbridge (which is a lovely town with walks by the river) on Saturday. Would highly recommend 1 Easton Barn.
