  Dawn couldn't have been more helpful.

  The house was really clean which is impressive considering dogs had only just been in the week or two before. The location was fantastic and we loved the welcome at the Fat Seagull! The property was just what we needed for our stay. The sofas were great but by the end of the 2nd week, the big (which is a sofa bed) was a little uncomfortable. The super king bed was relatively comfy but the divan needs replacing as it is very creaky and woke me and my husband up a lot. The other thing was the light that comes into that room, although lovely it needs some sort of blackout attached to the current curtains as it woke us early every day. This wouldn’t put me off recommending this place though. Our daughter loved the single bed(s) she found them very comfy and the garden at the property is lovely. As others have said the welcome package was a lovely touch and very considerate. All in all, we had a really lovely stay and feel lucky to have visited such a beautiful part of the country, the beaches are amazing. Thank you again.

  Fabulous! What a find!

  This is a real treasure, a beautiful modern cottage very well equipped. We spent a week here including Christmas. We were warm and comfortable and the hosts were available if we had needed anything. A beautiful Christmas wreath was on the front door and some very tasteful Christmas Christmas decorations inside. When opening the front door it was like stepping inside a page of 'House Beautiful' . The situation of the cottage is idyllic, beautiful views with stupendous sunrise and sunsets. A short walk across the old golf course (now in the process of being turned into a nature reserve by the National Trust) leads to the promenade and of course the sea!! Wonderful! We cannot recommend this property too highly, just brilliant. Anne Christine and Tony

  A very nice bungalow in a lovely quiet residential area.

  Easy access to many places and less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. Previous review states that the sofa was uncomfortable but we didn't find this to be the case. We did agree that the mattresses on the single beds were very uncomfortable though. However, the housekeeper informed us that new mattresses have been ordered. The beds themselves, obviously previously bunk beds, are standard 3ft singles, so perfectly adequate for adult use. The two main issues are the shower, which is pretty hopeless due to low pressure and ran cold after just a few seconds. There was also a bad smell of damp in the dining room extension. We did report this to the housekeeper.

  The location of the property was fantastic for the beach, the lovely local cafe, and walks.

  It was very quiet and peaceful. After seeing previous reviews of spotless cleanliness, we were disappointed with the lack of cleanliness. For example: a number of dishes and cups were not clean, the rugs in both bedrooms and the living room were heavily covered in pet hair, and the furniture upholstery in the living room was very dusty. Regarding making the property more comfortable, it would be great to have non-slip mats for the bedroom rugs on the wooden floors as we slipped on them when walking over them, to have pillows that are not so flat, and to replace the mattresses on the twin single beds as they felt very uncomfortable and worn out.

  Another lovely week at Acre View, lovely grassed garden fully enclosed and dog friendly, with washing line.

  Kitchen floor has been renewed looks lovely. Found the egg cups this time. Dishwasher great for holiday and washing machine both working well. We found double bed comfortable. Perhaps a few more knives/forks. Perhaps Chair firmers under 3 piece sweet cushions. Bungalow close to a lovely dog friendly beach. Mablethorpe seal Sanctuary, Lincoln cathedral well worth a visit. Bus no 50 to Lincoln and no 59 to Mablethorpe very good service. Lovely neighbours, the lady over the road who I got to know came to wish us a lovely holiday, as she recognised our car from last year.
