  Pleasant holiday home which was a good base for us to explore the local area.

  Lovely touch with a welcome gift and enjoyed the hot tub, (although some basic instructions would have been helpful). Would have been useful to have a few more hooks or a smaller airer inside for drying towels, and felt the instruction folder could have had a lot more information in it regarding local area/amenities, as well as WiFi password. Unfortunately we had no access to WiFi for the duration of the stay which with 2 teenagers was an inconvenience & while not the end of the world this did impact on trying to make plans for our time there. We arrived on a Sunday and contacted Skyes first thing Monday. They did not reply until Thursday afternoon and offered no apology for the delay and sent just a standard response which was not specific to Daisys retreat, suggesting that we check the router and/or ask at main reception which we had already done prior to contacting them. So while I would stay again at Daisys retreat, I would not book through Skyes cottages again for their very poor customer service.

  We had a great few days in this peaceful location.

  The views over the countryside were great and it was a real treat to see the owls come and go at dawn and dusk. Located at the bottom of the farm's track so no traffic other than the seldom coming and goings of the farmers. Jamie was really helpful at the start of our trip and made some great recommendations for trips out (Runswick Bay being one). The property itself was perfectly formed for a family of five (plus dog) and it was so cosy during the Stormy weather. Then heating was quick to warm the property, and the beds were comfy. All in all this property worked perfectly for us which is not always the case in some holiday rentals. Will definitely return if back in the area, as there is much more to explore in this lovely part of the world. The garden is not enclosed as advertised but with no traffic this was not an issue for our little dog.

  The Hayloft in Chatton was fantastic and very much exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely, comfortable house with the most fantastic bathrooms. The village and surrounding countryside were stunning. We booked very last minute (5.15pm the day before). The team at Coquet Cottages went above and beyond to arrange the booking, late in the day and I think stayed late to arrange with the owners. Thank you very much for such fantastic service. We loved the guidebook app, everything was easy to find! Thank you all so much again, for arranging our very last minute trip! We absolutely loved the cottage and would definitely return. It’s a beautiful property in fabulous countryside. As always, Coquet’s service was exemplary, thank you so much once again.

  The lodge itself was amazing and can't fault the cleanliness and everything within the lodge.

  The estate it was on was a little remote and it was a shame the pub wasn't open at all for the whole weekend. I'm guessing this is seasonal. One element that did spoil our weekend was the lodge behind us. It was occupied by 3 ladies who felt it was appropriate at 6am on a Saturday morning to be shouting at each other whilst drinking Stella and letting their dogs run riot around the front of the lodge, this continued for the majority of the morning and the same again on the Sunday, albeit a little less drunk!!! There were others who did not obey the reduced noise levels past 11pm, which was a little annoying!! We will he visiting the area again but will he looking at alternative accommodation, which is a shame.

  Storm Bebet weekend!! Well, what can we say, other than wow! The Hayloft is beautiful, in a stunning location that we know very well, having spent 20 years travelling and working there. This was an extra special birthday weekend where we would get together once a year as an adult family who now live scattered across the UK. The attention to detail at The Hayloft is impressive. Extremely clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and was much enjoyed by all. Thank you both. We have had a truly memorable break together and highly recommend The Hayloft. The dogs were comfortable and enjoyed their treats. Many thanks from all the family.
