  This property is ideal in its central location, cleanliness and mostly satisfactory equipment and 2 parking spaces. The bedrooms and bathrooms are great. The downstairs is tight, the kitchen/dining/ living area is confined, you have to move the couch to use the dining chairs, move a dining chair to access the dishwasher and there isn’t really much space to bring in a child’s buggy without blocking the narrow hall. There is lots to recommend in this house but l feel the unconventional check out time and instructions re stripping beds etc is a disadvantage especially since there weren’t any cleaners waiting to enter at 9.30. I would recommend for adults with teenagers rather than younger children. There wasn’t an enclosed yard for the dog which l assumed there would be but there’s plenty of places to walk a dog.

  Overall the house was fabulous.

  It was definitely a real difficult trawl generally climbing up the long slope and alternately the steps towards the house especially with our suitcases up from the main road and not many people would manage it , especially with little ones . We reckon it should be much clearer on details. The house was beautiful . Bed was very comfy. Lounge and tv was brilliant we loved the comfy seating. Kitchen was great. If you’re not tall you would find getting in and out of the bath a struggle as it’s set extremely high. High stools at the breakfast bar wouldn’t be suitable for young children . We couldn’t fault the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the convenience of the location was great and we parked up at the nearby pay and display for two days , no problem.

  What a fabulous place, the cottage was excellent had everything you needed.

  Warm, comfortable lounge with log burner, large kitchen fully equipped. We had the en-suite bedroom, the bed was so comfortable and had a lovely hot shower. Our daughter, son-In-law and Grandaughter’s also enjoyed their stay. It is situated in a lovely peaceful, spot overlooking the countryside. We enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder and watching the black grouse flying around the cottage. One sat on the top of our car the grandkids loved it!! We also had the pleasure of sitting outside with a cup of tea on New Years Day. Took some great photos of the sunset too. We would throughly recommend cottage.   Beds, towels and rooms clean and acceptable.

  Small issue with Heating resolved promptly. Advertised as Shower over Bath in both upstairs en-suites which did not exist. This was raised before we went and never answered. Only 1 Shower in the property. AGA not working. Told it was not switched on until the end of October. Wish we had known this before booking. Kitchen in poor condition and needs refurbishing. Damaged work top, cooker splashback, cupboard doors delaminating and cupboards could have been better cleaned. Please put in some more Mugs/Cups. Not enough for 2 people never mind if 6 people were staying. Very peaceful location and nice garden.

  The location is great. Just be aware that only 1 parking space and stifle to get the second car parked close by we had to leave it on the road at the end. It’s a shame you cannot get down to the port now, as this was one of the reasons we booked here but the Cleveland path is great one to start walks from still. The view from the back of the house is amazing, it’s the main point of the cottage for sure. It’s worth noting that the pictures do seem to make it look bigger than it is and for a family of 4 adults and 1 teen is was just big enough as the teen and old child kept to their rooms when in .
