  The Squirrels was absolutely fantastic !

  ! Nothing could be faulted and there was nothing that wasn’t thought of down to games, books and blankets in the lounge . The property was spotlessly clean and the owner Joanne is such a lovely accomodating lady who was so friendly and helpful . My sister and I took our elderly parents 90 and 87 who loved the break and were so impressed with the house and the thought that had gone into all the personal touches . Excellent location. Off road parking available . 3 beautifully appointed bedrooms with 3 fabulous bathrooms one of which being en-suite . 2 lounge areas the main one having a lovely balcony area leading off it which we enjoyed an afternoon sat on in the sun . I can highly recommend the Squirrels and would not hesitate to return . Thank you for the perfect stay and the opportunity to make some really happy and treasured family memories .

  Megs Den was a perfect location & convenient for all we needed The owner communicated directly to provide some great tips on the local area & a nice that we had milk, and some drinks ready for our arrival, also tea, coffee & sugar along with washing up items The beds were very comfortable & bathroom was also great My only comments would be that some more comfortable furniture would be good in the living room & the carpets need a good clean, I know it’s suitable for dogs, but we thought a new more forgiving colour or a deep clean would improve the property as we paid premium price due to the time of year, but think a spruce up is needed Really enjoyed our stay though so thank you

  Stayed at Brook View Cottage over the Christmas period 2024. Loved the cottage, and the area. Neighbours were really friendly and helpful. Cottage was very warm and cosy and everything was provided. Lovely touches including a doggy welcome pack, and a very personal letter to them both about their holiday! Ideal location for dog walking, and supermarkets are only 5 miles away. Bed very comfy, and everywhere was immaculate. The garden isn't completely secure, so if your dog is an escape artist, or likes to chase neighbouring cats, then be aware. Apart from that we highly recommend this cottage for a holiday. The owner was very friendly and always extremely helpful.

  We are regular visitors to this cottage and will continue to do so as we love the village, Hebden and surrounding countryside.

  This was our 6th visit and the standards seem to be slipping each visit, which is a shame as our initial visits we provided extremely positive feedback. Do not see the below as negative, but it's difficult to ignore the obvious. Tiny bit of toilet paper no spare ones. 1 dishwasher tablet No fire lighters for fire Bedside lamp not working Bath needs a good clean around shower screen seal and overflow bath tap. Hand wash replenished with water Dirty wet cloths on side of sink in kitchen. Front yard needs a good tidying up, I did pick up the plastic containers and wet cardboard that were outside in the front yard.

  A lovely cottage with an easy walk into Hebden Bridge and all it’s facilities.

  Plenty of choice when looking for places to eat but cottage also has everything you need to cater for yourself. Owners had thoughtfully put some supplies in the kitchen but there are a couple of supermarkets nearby to get anything you need. Seats in the lounge very comfortable as were the beds. Upper bedroom has a low ceiling so our son, at 6 foot 4 found it difficult but not a major problem. Parking locally is chargeable but we managed to get a free space most of the time. We would definitely use this cottage again if we return to the area.
