Guests say

Meg's Den in Hebden Bridge is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and prime location. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, warm welcome, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. While parking can be challenging, the property's proximity to local amenities and attractions compensates for this minor inconvenience.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'clean', 'squeaky clean', and 'fresh'. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The location is highly praised for being central and convenient, allowing easy access to shops, pubs, and restaurants. Its proximity to walking trails and the town centre is a highlight for many visitors.

Comfort is frequently mentioned, with guests finding the beds extremely comfortable and the cottage cosy. Some guests noted the upper bedroom's low ceiling and the lounge furniture could be more comfortable, but these were minor points.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, though some guests suggested improvements such as additional kitchen equipment and better ventilation in the bathroom. The presence of a garden and the overall maintenance of the cottage are positives.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome pack provided by the hosts, which includes items like milk, beer, and dog treats. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed.

10 minutes walk from railway station via canal-side and park. Good range of walks direct from house including Hardcastle Crags, Lumb Falls, Hebden Circular via Heptonstall, along canal to Todmorden, so car not required. Good bus service to Howarth for Bronte museum. Very nice cinema with good varied programme. Well-stocked Co-op supermarket and local independent shops (Julie's vegetable one). Comfort reduced only by limited headroom upper bedroom..Attractive well-preserved town..

Megs Den was a perfect location & convenient for all we needed The owner communicated directly to provide some great tips on the local area & a nice that we had milk, and some drinks ready for our arrival, also tea, coffee & sugar along with washing up items The beds were very comfortable & bathroom was also great My only comments would be that some more comfortable furniture would be good in the living room & the carpets need a good clean, I know it’s suitable for dogs, but we thought a new more forgiving colour or a deep clean would improve the property as we paid premium price due to the time of year, but think a spruce up is needed Really enjoyed our stay though so thank you
